Knocked out a full correction and coating on a fellow Audi S4 Owners car

There is a plate filler section that was left off. Very common for the enthusiasts to switch to an RS4 mesh grille and omit the plate filler in lieu of nothing or the tow hook attachment. Everyone loves the mesh grilles.

Very nice work pdqgp. Is that Ibis or Glacier white? I did one glacier recently that was hard as nails and looked to have been frequently wiped down with a sandy beach towel; absolutely miserable day for me. The Ibis cars seem to be much more forgiving.

This was Ibis White. Audi as you know isn't easy to compound with foam so I went right to Microfiber. Polish was done with Foam.

Thank you too.

Great work.

I had issues with the glue on the same backing plate. A quick message to Dylan and he took care of it. He sent me a replacement under warranty along with a rupes polisher keychain. I glued the other backing plate that was lifting on the edge so I now have a spare backing plate.

I initially PM'd Todd so let' await what he says.

I tried liquid nails and no-go. Came off today as I attempted to use it. I may try some type of epoxy but certainly hope this isn't going to be an issue as if it is it will render the machine useless.

Yes, it's so he didn't have to drill into the bumper. The mount that it's on is called a tow hook. On our cars as well as many others, there's a cover that pops off where you can thread a tow hook onto and aftermarket companies make brackets to use for license plates.

I have one on my car too and don't think it looks too bad. In my case I have the Euro RS4 Grill and the mounting of a plate over it looks far worse IMO.

I agree.........On my CL65 I attached magnets to the lower front grille to attach the front plate when I park as that's the only time I've gotten a ticket here in D.C. I wonder why we still need to run a front plate here ($$$$$$$$ I suppose) as the tag number is printed on both the registration and inspection stickers that are mounted on the front windshield.

They'll give you a ticket for that while your cars parked out there? Wow.

Out here in California, they make a big deal about a couple of things if and when they want to: Tinted windows on the drivers/passengers doors, and also having any kind of plastic cover, whether it's tinted or not over your license plates. My current daily driver is in violation of both those laws.

Years ago I used to drive a 92 Eldorado without the front license plate mounted on the front bumper and I'd get pulled over for it way too often until I just decided it was too much of a hassle and kept it on.
