Below is a video made by one of Kranzle dealers that might help you learn something new about how to wash your car without getting “any” swirls ;)

I’d use a brush like that on the under carriage of the car but never on the paint. I say long live my sheepskin mitts.

I cringed very time he went on the lower half of the doors and wheels and went back up to the higher levels. I agree i would not use that on my paint.

Some detailers in that area are gonna make some money correcting paint ;)

I'm not seeing a problem. Your drag a brush over the dirt and grit filled wheels and and then finish the rest of the car. He then went over the paint and washed away all of the dirt that was ground into the paint. It's not like he left it on there.

Should be titled... how to wash 100 cars in one day.

I watched the video after reading the title and after also writing a new how-to article on how to was a coated car, (actually any car), and do everything you can to avoid swirls and scratches.

I'd put my method up against their method any day.

I also noticed they started out with a brush that was spinning, probably from the water pressure so not a super strong rotation, and then they switched to what looked like a Montana Boar's Hair Brush. I wonder why they switched?

:)

Might be okay on something like an RV. I think the Montana brush is rinsing the soap off.

It is 0:56-1:23 which gets me very nervous. Off to take my anxiety meds.

Down to the wheels and tires then on the paint...

@Calendyr - just not at the expense of the nice paint. ;-)
