Just bought a Chevy Cruze for the wife, we took it for a 496 mile ride to my moms house. Used 12.7 gal of gas. (40 mpg) It rides so smooth. Did research and found out it is the same platform as the German Opel. German design sold by GM, GM finialy got it right.

Congrats on your new car,,,,so what did she get?

Tom

My fiancé has this and I'm not impressed the transmissions hesitates so much! I don't know if it's just ours but I wouldn't recommend this car to anyone

My daughter bought a new 2011 Elantra Limited and loves it. My wife's driven this several times and was really impressed thus the decision to by the 2013 Elantra Limited.

Hyundai's 100,000 mile drive-train warranty should cover you for the transmission issues you're experiencing...

The Hyundai Elantra and Sonata are manufactured in Alabama.

Most GM cars and trucks come from Mexico. GM has a HUMUNGOUS plant in Mexico and I'll bet it's nearly a mile long....I've been by it several times.....So much for buying American.

She bought a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited Tom. For what she does and most of it's around town a car like this rates high in safety and customer satisfaction....if you believe what you read anyway...

Congratulations on the new Cruze!! :props:

Took the truck in a parade around 30 miles from home. Used the QD after I got the flags and signs on, got a lot of compliments and 'what are you using that makes it shine so much?' Broke a board that holds the sign off the truck rails by mistakenly sitting on it instead of the 2 X 6 I thought I was sitting on.

After the parade, I came home, repaired the board, and started thinking about a better way to transport and mount the signs. Have 3 or 4 more parades this month, so it will probably wait unless I get of the forum and do something, lol.

I was in Jail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Course I work there and alas, was at work. Wasn't too busy though, thankfully people may have understood that alcohol consumption and driving doesn't mix.....

Yes I did!

Personally, I like the Ford Fusions. I think the Fusion is one of the nicest style cars out there.

One of the things that hurt Ford, at least in my area, it the car buying experience. Their approach is to overpower and play games with the prospective buyer, something I despise. If they treated their customers with respect, dignity, and assume they're intelligent they'd attract more customers.

The major difference I see is the car buying experience and smoke and mirrors game both Ford and Dodge dealerships in my area.

Ford was my second choice but my wife wanted the Hyundai Elantra Limited....

I myself have a 2012 Elantra Limited, black on tan with the navigation. I have 9k miles on it (bought in March) and the only thing I have experienced was the steering wheel peeling, which was replaced under the warranty with a different wheel. Besides that, the only complaints I would have is that the car needs a rear sway bar because the rear shifts on bumps, and the power is noticeably different with the AC on and the ECO mode on. But, I have come to accept that I have bought an fuel effiecient vehicle and it is not a V8 powered car.

All in all, I am very pleased with my car. I get about 38mpg on the highway, and about 27mpg around town. If she didn't purchase it yet, I would suggest the Tech package (Navigation, push button, rear view camera). It just makes the car that much more luxurious. Everyone that gets into my car, say how amazing it is. A friend of mine has a Mercedes and a BMW, and he said he likes mine more than his 2.

Yes they are made with Korean parts, but in the USA. As stated earlier, I'm pretty sure, majority of the cars that are "American" are made in Mexico. And I would love to support the good Ol USA (BTW, USA stands for U Sue Anyone), but the prices are more expensive, and the warranties are not nearly as long. Just my .02. Sorry for the thread hi-jack :nomore:
