Lake Country, CCS stands for "Collapsed Cell Structure" or as explained in a Detail Fest class, "a Closed Cell" and the LC Flat pads are "Open Cell".
With that said, LC promotes the CCS pads as a better pad, my question is which one do the "Pad Users" like the best for correction and polishing?
During the classes at Detail Fest only Flat Pads were used and (I don't want to quote BUT) Mike said he prefers the flat pads due to reasons that I have forgoten. Some heads-up on this is needed!
Thanks Ya'll

I subscribe to the theory that for SMAT polishes either flat or CCS would work best. For DAT polishes a flat pad will work best. I can vouch for flat with Menzerna polishes (DAT).

Others say getting the diminishing abrasives to break down consistently is better and CCS pads would not necessarily help with that.

So what I do as a general guideline is use CCS for AIO's and Pre-wax cleansers, flat for DAT polishes and any compounding.

Would you explain dat vs smat? And do you know which category adams polishes are
