Lake country wool wheel wash mitt

I was looking into these and wanted to know who has them and how do they work. I really want the dodo juice wool wheel mitt because its white, but ag doesn't carry it, so the lake country one is the next best it look like.

Also was looking into the carpro 2 finger mitt. I use the full size for washing the car and like the quality, so I thought maybe the 2 finger one may be good for wheels. My only concern is I'm not a huge fan of the one side only having wool. I like to be able to flip sides and keep washing, which is why I think the lake country one may be the way to go.

Any suggestions? Thoughts? Comments? I have chrome wheels and am looking for something safe on them. I use a variety of brushes and cleaners, and up til now have just used a microfiber mitt for hard to reach areas. The mitt is a bit of overkill imo, which is why I'm looking into these smaller mitts. Lemme know what ya think.
 
I have the lake country wheel washing mitt and absolutely love it. The mitt is small enough but not to big to get into the tight areas on the corner of the wheels especially. Shape of the mitt is also a plus, way better than dealing with a full size wash mitt. Just buy it you won't be disappointed.

How is it with scratching? It's wool so I'd assume its safe? What kinda wheels ya working with?
 
2012 Honda clearcoated and 2013 Mini Cooper S black painted and clearcoated, so far no problems but you have a lot of brake dust on wheels so any sponge or wash mitt you use might scratch with all the debris on them, just sayin nothing is fool proof, just my 2 cents. I like the mitts because they are the perfect size. What kinda of wheels you have?
 
I have the LC Wheel Wash Mitt. It's great. In my process, I use a boar's hair brush on the face of the wheel, Wheel Woolies on the barrels, and then I use the mitt to reach behind the spokes and clean them. All of my vehicles have clearcoated wheels and I have not see any signs of marring from using the mitt in this fashion.
 
Haven't heard anything good about the wheel woolies. I've read someone recommending them but never said anything positive or negative about them. Just read a post where they fell about after 5 uses.

I've had mine going on two years and used at least once almost every weekend during that time with no signs of deterioration on any of them.

You are talking about the little brush they carry aren't you? They are the ones that fall apart.

Glad to hear, thanks for the input. I have chrome, but they're coated with 22ple rim and metal coat, and never get much brake dust, so I think I should be good. That's the thing I like the most is the size. Seems perfect. Definitely gonna be purchasing.

Not these:
Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Detail Brush 1¼ inch
Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair Detail Brush 1 inch

I have heard nothing but good things about the actual Woolies (and can confirm from my own experience). The brush on the other hand I've heard the polar opposite; works great while it stays together, but not very durable.
 
The wool wheel wash mitt is the best product I've used for cleaning wheels. It allows you to get into a lot of tight areas especially behind spokes with ease. A word of caution though. Wear nitrile gloves when using them. For some reason they will stain your hand black from holding it from the inside. I'm assuming its from the black dye but I spent more time cleaning my hands the first time I used one than cleaning all four wheels! :xyxthumbs:
