Been ordering products from autogeek for a while and finally signed up to the forum to keep up with what others may be doing in the industry.

Started my company November of last year and ready to be on top in south central Louisiana.

Good to see a Ragin Cajun on the forum. Tulane grad and former Nola resident here.

:welcome:

Welcome from BR, looks like you stay pretty busy

Hello Tim, glad to see another geeker from South Central Louisiana. I live 20 minutes south of you in New Iberia. Fortunately for you this is a weekend job for me (and my dance card is overbooked as is) otherwise I would have to compete with you for the title of "Top South Central Louisiana Detailer"

Not yet at having a client everyday but hoping to get there this time I return back home.

I understand being a weekend detailer. I feel that way seeing I work out of the country five weeks at a time. On my five weeks off I detail everyday I get a client. And competition is something the area needs. I have been correcting finishes on vehicles that were done by those businesses that "detail"." Next step is acquiring a shop in Lafayette now that what I love to do on my offtime is now a registered business :)

I use to get soooooo frustrated when getting a paint correction and determining "who" slaughtered that car in the name of what they called detailing.

We do need more geekers but unfortunately that won't happen. The local guys seem perfectly content with the sub-standard level of care they provide and they feel they are busy enough to continue "pawning" people. There is only a couple of "high end" guys in the area, but they have their clientele and don't really advertise.

I am sure you will find yourself busy as all get up, sooner than later. I did see your advert on CL but a little word of mouth will carry you much further. When I started, I passed out business cards for one month and stopped because I became busier then I could handle.... to the point where I had no real energy for my primary occupation (which pays the bills).

Goodluck to you and looking forward to seeing your Show and Shine!
