Are you planning on doing a one or two step correction? What is the current condition? Test spot...test spot...test spot.

Whatever it takes really. Local detailers put heavy swirl marks in about 10 cars/SUVs. Obviously they used rotary and wool pads but left scratches and swirls. All these cars have the factory paint on them. I'm wondering if anyone here has hands-on-experience dealing with factory Volvo paint. Specifically, what product and procedure works best for this particular paint. I'm trying to save some time experimenting.

I've worked on many Volvo cars. The thing still is how bad the paint is and what you are trying to accomplish. If I were to only use what you have listed, I would start M101 with yellow pad on Flex 3401 then move to M205 on green pad. If it were my personal vehicle, I would use M105 on orange pad in the middle if I was striving for perfection. Of course, this is just what I would use with that you have listed. Be sure to clean your pad often.

Thanks for the info. I'll try what I have and see what results I can get.
