lawn care

Basically the same as mentioned. One thing I do is mow in a different direction each time so I do not get tracks or lines from the tires. Can really be seen more if people use riding mowers. Examples are front to back, side to side, diagonal (sp?) one way then diagonal the other. In the back I have spots of excess nitrogen (from the dog) how do you minimize these?

Pick up his sh!t... sorry had to say it... :p

Remember that TV show "Gardening by the Yard". I think that it where I learned this trick. Scratch the dead yellow grass out. Make a mix of sand, mulch, grass seed (no percise receipe) and put it in a jar or other container. Spread some in the dead area. Keep your mix dry or the seed will germinate in the jar. Save it and do it when needed.

:P My lawn owns :)

I mow it 3 times. (checker board then diagonal) I start my year off with scotts turfbuilder with weed and feed then I just did Turbfbuilder pro last week. Before winter hit I seeded then did wintergreen. (couldnt do weed and feed because I seeded)

EDIT: does anyone know how to get rid of rabbits? My rear lawn is pretty green but then there is a patch that is dead because a rabbit sits there all day when there is nobody home.

U know it hasn't turned yellow yet. I just have spots of really green grass. If only I can get him to do it all over the yard it would look great.:) Thanks for the receipe for the future.
