Ive been using LC flat pads, 5.5inch on my griots DA. I have gotten good results, but all the pads after 1-2 uses start to tear from the backing. I use 2-3 per car as I try not to let them get too hot as I have heard that contributes to the early death of these pads. I would like to find a pad with more cut that I could use with 105, typically the fleet vehicles I work on have extreme paint transfer, oxidation and neglect. So I have two questions...
How can I extend the life of, or get the proper life out of the LC flat pads. They should most definitely be good for more then 1-2 uses. I use 105 and polish on 6. I also wash them after with APC and let them soak then rinse well and air dry, exactly like Mike does it in his new article.
Second is, I want more cut, I would like to stick to m105 as I have had great success and I want to stick with the rotary. I have tried the surbuf pads and did not get great results. I would like to try wool, any links to which one I should use? Its a bit confusing on which are right for my DA. I was looking at something like this... Lambswool 6 Inch Leveling Pad (1) Thanks!
