my favorite pads of all time is the old low profile white 5.5 pads.
I seem to get the best results out of them.

Does anyone get better results from teh new CCS white pads? i have some but I get better results with the old school ones. im wondering if I just need to learn how to use the new ones better.
 
I get better correction with the lo-pro orange old style. I got 2 6.5 orange CCS to 2 dozen lo-pro 5.5. I guess you see my favortism....
 
Are we using these on PC or rotary? And are you comparing 5.5" low profile to 5.5" CCS?
 
What's the difference between 5.5 lo pros and 5.25 ccs besidses the CCS pockets besides the little size difference?
 
to be honest my favorite pad I think is the pad that came with my UDM, plain old flat white polishing pad, 5.5"

I dont think they do, thats why I said that. Size is a factor that should be considered. Maybe try 5 1/4" CCS?
 
low profile pads

We do make low profile pads with the CCS pattern in them. I use a 5.25 pad with a 5 inch backing plate myself.

But AG does not carry these right?

Have you found that the CCS corrects better than the original pads?
 
LC pads

In my personal opinion, I use the falt and CCS pads on both the rotary and DA. I honestly prefer the CCS, but the flat has its place. It a matter pf preference, polishes, technique. I have a detailing business outside of Lake Country and have taught seminars also. Since we designed the CCS pads, they seem to be the #1 choice.
 
I agree, i do get better results with the CCS pads. Maybe just a leaning curve Fminus, keep playing with them, sorta like Menzerna.
 
I have been using the 5.25" CCS pads on a 5" backing plates and it's been working great. I have used the gray and the white pads with both glazes and polishing and have no complaints.

I personally like the little pockets. If you need a little bit more product, just press on the pad and PRESTO, you've got a little bit more right there.

Im glad you mentioned that. I do that all the time, and I was wondering if others can do this too, or if I was just using to much polish. I looked at it as a bad thing that polish got caught in these holes, because sometimes I feel like it absorbs too much polish.
 
I actually put my polish in lines or blobs between the holes. Eventually, a little creeps in there and it's all you need.

I do that too with my flat pads, I gues it just means Im using too much polish!

I only put the polish on the pad when its being primed, afterwards I just line the paint with the polish!

That's a good point P1. How is everyone applying product to the pad? Like P1 said and avoiding the holes, or just go straight across them?
