Leaf blower or Drying towel?

After a sheet rinse, there's only a cup of water remaining on the entire vehicle.

Of course the surface must be sealed and waxed for this to happen.

A dab here and there with a Guzzler is all I need.

I moved up from a leaf blower to the small Metro Air Blaster--warm, dry, air--
love it. Small investment--long-term satisfaction. Besides the body and engine,
I also use it to dry cloth interios and carpets.

:iagree:
The leaf blower is great for getting water out of crevices that if not removed will come out and water spot later. I find the best method for me is to first go over the entire car with my leaf blower paying special attention to crevices, trim, mirrors, windows, badges, lights and tail lights, wheels, etc. (the place water likes to hide). Follow that up by going around the car with a high quality waffle weave MF and a good QD. FK-425 works great as it will remove any water spots and has a lot of lubricants to help aid in preventing micro-scratching.
:iagree: especially on my trucks where nooks and crannies abound for water to coninuously drip from that a towlel will never do (or will work but have to go over and over and over, like window seals etc). Then I go over with a micro and qd'er. If your vehicle is prepped well and has lsp, the blow will damn near get rid of 95% of teh water quickly, only small dropplets left on the paint.

After reading this thread, I am going to invest in a blower or a air compressor with a air gun. Very good hints will take this onto my ginny pig vehicle. Hopefully I will get some more products order and start my first newbie thread.

I own a JetSpeed air dryer and I recently purchased a full-on electric leaf blower thinking that more CFM and higher air speed = better drying results.

BIG mistake. The Weed Eater 215MPH electric blower I bought to replace the JetSpeed 110MPH blower performs virtually identical to the JetSpeed. The leaf blower attachment for the Weed Eater is ideal for blowing leaves around. The JetSpeed's included nozzle is specifically designed to quickly clean and dry engines & machinery which is perfect for the application of automobiles. And to add insult to injury, the Weed Eater is deafeningly loud inside my garage and is such a pain to move around compared to the ultra-compact JetSpeed.

You can look into buying one of the Metro Vacs that AG sells but even the entry-level Metro Vac is $70 but I have been quite happy with using a JetSpeed or a Cali Water Blade and then finishing off with 1 or 2 Waffle Weave Drying Towels.
