Learn one teach one

My friend has never dug deep on an interior so today we tagged teamed his Scooby so I could try some new tools and product and he could learn as well.

We both tried the Sonax alcantara cleaner and brush to rejuvenate the matted seats, and the Tornador blower/vac unit which does wonderful things to carpet.

Pics attached. The seats were still mildly damp so they look spotty but the Sonax cleaner and brush are the real deal and the Tornador blower vac.

The gray stuff on the seats and door is industrial urethane paint from where we work so outside of a hot solvent like lacquer thinner it’s likely not coming out but we are going to see what we can figure out.

The compressor I use is a Dewalt D55168 15 gallon that I have had in my garage for years to blow up tires and run a blow gun etc. It's not quite big enough to handle the Tornador CFM but I make it work. I eventually need to get a larger compressor with a bigger tank.

Thank you. It had been years since his interior had been truly cleaned. He's a serious detail enthusiast as well, and I have had him help me with customer vehicles because he has the same standards I do.

I'm a "Core Trainer" at my day job, so any time someone new starts in the paint area, I teach them. It takes patience, listening, answering questions, and instilling confidence in someone to know they can do the job. It also requires recognizing where people need help and showing them the way. I love teaching and showing people how to paint etc. My friend has the same standards I do, so when I need help on a detail I know I can count on him.
