Leather Care

Even without the windshield done, the other windows and back glass make a huge difference. Even when it’s 100 out and the car is in full noon sun, my car is not that hot when I get in, especially compared to other cars I get into without the ceramic tint.

Ceramic tint is one of the first things I do when I get a new (to me) car now, it really makes that huge a difference. Even just driving I can tell between my car and my parent’s truck as it feels like the left side of my body is getting cooked when driving my parent’s truck.

Maybe look into getting one the heat shields for the inside of the windshield. I have one and use it all summer. It does work to keep temps down and save the dash.

I already use one, but it's not really convenient while driving.

Just kidding, but thanks to you and everyone else for the suggestion.

This doesn't necessarily happen only when parked. If I'm driving on a warm day, or the sun is hitting the dash while driving, even on a cooler day, the dash can become sticky. And all of my windows are tinted.

I'm not the only one with this problem, and there have been recalls by several different manufacturers, including one for my car in Florida. Unfortunately, I don't live in Florida. There are several sites that talk about this, and even a product called Sticky Dash that supposedly helps, but I haven't convinced myself it's worth trying.

This explains some of the problem:
