Saturday I bought a new leather recliner and I want to treat the leather now before I use the chair much . I am open to recommendations . thanks in advance .

i dont know about home furniture, but for automotive leather my family has always used horse saddle products.

Leatherique is one of the finest products I have ever used. I believe they still sell it here at Autogeek. Leatherique also has a very awesome site that has very important info about leather care.

I have both Leatherique and WG. WG is a quality product that would be your best bet for ease of application. Leathererique, on the other hand, requires it to sit in a hot car for 1-2 days, which would be hard to do on a recliner.

Is this coated or uncoated leather? If it's coated leather (most likely) then a leather protectant is needed. If uncoated (think Ford King Ranch type leather) then a conditioner would be needed.

Leatherique is the best thing to use. try matching it up with leather protect so even something spills on your leather it is still protected. hope this help man. "enjoy the things you have and not be cautious about them"

ive been using the same stuff on my accord since 99 when i bought it. i havnt noticed a difference yet.
