Leather Conditioning...fact or fiction?

What brand did you use, Nica??

If I'm not mistaken I used the Mothers leather care system. It worked okay but I'm really looking forward to the Wofgang leather care but this Collonity (sorry for spelling) sounds like a great product...I'll have to order some me thinks.

I totally agree with you guys about quality and that's why it's better to just spend a few extra bucks and get quality.

So you guys feel that Lambo is better then a Ferrari mmm...interesting.

Before I purchased my Lambo and also looked at getting a Ferrai 360. I drove both cars and definitely liked the Gallardo better. I like the handling and both the exterior and interior looks better. Since Audi purchased Lamborghini the Lambo's have a lot of good German engineering in them. The only problem I have had with my Lambo was with the AC and they had to replace the compressor. My friend has a Ferrari 360 and has had a lot of problems with it. They have already had to pull the engine out to service some of the problems. I think the Ferrari 430 is way over priced. I did have a chance to ride in an Enzo about 3 months ago. Very cool but I don't think I could afford to maintain it even if I had the money to but one.

Good driver vs Good driver - Gallardo SE stomps on the F430 at the track. Ferrari has become to poserish, their almost mass producing, they way over produced the 360. Where I live we are covered in Ferrari's daily, so much for exclusivity. Ferrari has lost their edge, last true Ferrari was the F-40, and no, I didn't like the F-50. Our 328 and 355 were money pits, interior on the 355 would star comming apart and unglued, kinda crap is that, a Hyundai is built better.

Lambo may not be into racing like Ferrari is, but IME Lambo>Ferrari . And if you ever go to a car meet where there are some Lambo owners, they are generally so much more laid back and down to earth, the Ferrari guys hah, last time I was at Towers in Fort Lauderdale for a meet there were a couple guys all dressed up in Ferrari attire, the shoes, the hat, the shirt, they looked like a rich Ronald McDonald LOL.

And Gary, I already sent my check to Heffners, he's waiting on your half for the TT setup :D

I totally agree with you Surfer, Ferrari is lusing it's edge. I used to idolise the F-40 and the Enzo...man the old school cars were just amazing, the body, the shape, engines but the newer cars just don't do nothing to me.

I ran into a croud of Ferrari owners and I tried asking them some questions and do you think they would even look at me. Well there is nothing wrong with a Lambo, I'll have to start leaning towards the Lambo.

Hey Gary,

Question, why do you have a Viper and a Lambo? Viper is nice but I would rather have a Lambo....well I'm stuck on the foreign technology I don't have much faith on American made "stuff" (please don't take it the wrong way). I think this is becuase of where I come from and the background that my family comes from. Where I grew up it was all Toyota, Honda and more Toyota's and more Japan cars. So now that I'm older and some what "wizer" I'm opening my eyes and and re-searching lots more. I love cars and I'm more then willing to pay for quality.

Hi Nica

What not have a viper and a lambo. I also have a Corvette and hope to add some more to my collection. I like just about every sports car made and I would have at least one of each if I could. The Viper is a fun car. I don't like it as much as my Lambo but to be fair the Lambo costs a lot more. I would also be happy to have a Ferrari, Porsche, Saleen, Astin-Martin etc. I would like to have a whole warehouse fulls of cars but I can't afford it. I'm not stuck on anyone car. The only thing that stops me from having them all is money and somewhere to put them and my wife. If you can't have them all you must pick and choose the ones you like the best.

Gary

Nica - this is what a lot of people don't realize on the Viper, it's a pure, raw drivers car, that's it, no traction control or anything. If your the type of guy that wants to "control" the car you won't find any other even close to the feel it provides unless you build an all out race car. We've owned plenty of sports cars and my family is pretty involved in racing (both auto and boat), I would take the Viper over any other car for street/track use, the car is setup as a racer from the ground up, its incredible on a road course, and with a few performance mods and suspension mods forget about it, you'll need a full blown racer to try to compete with it on the road course. Go to Willow, Leguna Secca, Sebring, VIR etc, see who dominates when out there ;)

surfer or you could just get a 06 Z06 and smoke the viper unfortunally :(

I love the Viper and it is the car I would also get over a lot of cars, in its price range. But the Z06 beats the '06 Viper, but they '07 Viper has gotten an even higher rated HP engine this year. So time will tell which one is better.

Neighbor has C6 Z and friend has C6 Z, in a straight line the Z traps a few mph higher stock, however on a road course the Viper and Z are about even with the edge going to the snake in handling, the Z stock brakes go too quickly and the Viper can on and on w/o worrying about fading or overheating as the Z guys are having. Driven the C6 Z at Sebring, great car, but doesn't offer the excitement or feel the snake does, it's too refined and comfortable, doesn't have the connection the snake does. And when it comes to modibilty, not even close which is more important. I still love the C6 Z don't get me wrong and would own one. 08' model snake is spec'd to be about 100-200lbs lighter with 600hp, and if Chevy does release the Blue Devil Dodge already has a n/a package putting it's power over the s/c Vette, the V10 is just to unstressed and easy to make power. Friends C6 Z is very, very quick, LGM did some work. IME s/c either the Snake or Z is pointless, even when cooled s/c'gers suffer heat soak, Viper can make sick power either n/a or turbo, I would keep the Z n/a, it's a monster with some head work and cam swap , headers etc.

I'm just glad the C6R is kicking ass racing after the Viper was banned from most leagues, even when handicapping the snake Porsche and others were complaining, Team Oreca was destroying everyone, along with others racing in ALMS and Le Mans. C6R is now putting an asswhupping back.

hmm, Ive never driven any of them there is a lotf Z06's here though, but in all the magazines the Z killed the viper on the track so thats where my info came from I would still take a viper any day though

Don't follow mags, these are the guys who can't even get times on a road course like Road Atlanta that the actual owners are, or how about all the times they couldn't get the Viper or C6 Z to trap more then 120 in the 1/4 lol. I get all the car mags but just to read and enjoy, their test are almost always flawed. Go to a track and you'll see the two are pretty much even, only problem really with the Z on the track is the stock brakes fade and overheat after lapping and the suspension seemed a little looser around bumps mid corner, stock seats are poor as well which is why you see a lot of owners swapping them (C5 Z seats were horrible though, the regular sport seats in the C5 were much better, I don't know why GM puts lazy boy chairs in their sports car lol). In a straight line though the Z has the edge stock, but I could careless I mod everything and owners of either are hardly driving them stock, C6 Z's with head/cam work are wicked!

yea I noticed that when I had a 02 Mustang GT they were not suposed to go faster then 14.9 in 1/4mile there was people pulling 13.9's.

Same with my friends SRT-4 so I know they arent 100% correct, its funny my friend has an SRT-4 yet he would take the Vett over the Viper anyday and me well I would take the Viper anyday over the vett

Woah. Nica. You are Canadian and you just dissed my car buddy. :p

I have only owned Toyotas and Hondas myself before, and while I feel very disloyal with that vette, there is NOTHING wrong with most American cars now, unlike in the 80's. We had a lemon Corrolla, our neighbors had a lemon Civic. Our household has had four wonderful Hondas, and one semi - great.
So that is unfair, sorry!
My husband likes saturn - I don't, but I gotta give it to them. He got 300 k miles out of his 92 SL1 and it was still running fine, same engine and tranny:applause: .... and his family members had experiences like that, with one lemon out of about ten bought. We have an 06 Relay. Great.

AFter that, I had a really hard time beating him up over Saturns. Gm. Mine is a GM.:o :o
Nica, dude.....
Avon over Arbonne. Gotcha. HEE HEE HEE HEE
Agree to disagree! :)

If your considering purchasing a Viper or a Vette Z06 I would tell you to drive them both and see which one you personally like better. If someone says one's is better then the other it's just a matter their opinion and it depends on what criteria they are judging it on. I like sports cars and when l'm looking for a new one I consider a cars looks, handling, speed, reliability and most of all if I feel it is fun to drive. Looks is a very important factor for most people (including myself) and it is strickly one's personally opinion. Get the car you personally like and enjoy driving.
