Used Leatherique kit this weekend. My car is only a year old with Ottawa Leather seats it's a Cadillac SRX 2006. Leatherique is alot of work to use but the results I must say made my Leather seats look better than when I bought the car. I went directly to the leatherique site for all the info I could get and found 24 pages of really useful info. I was amazed at how much dirt was raised out of the seats by using the Rejuvenating Oil followed by the Prestine Cleaning solution My wife and I have been the only people in the car, no children with food or drinks have ever been in the car.
It took about 3 hours of total time to do the whole process but in my opinion it was worth the time invested. Those of you who are really serious about protecting the Leather in your car I'm convinced there's nothing better. Saddle soap or other soaps should never be used on your leather seats. Leatherique puts the oils back into your leather to make them new again. Leather dyes that match your car perfectly are also available at there site.

I know the Leatherique is a bit involved, but when done correctly, it will bring awesome results. I'm just trying to pick up some tips on its application...

Leatherique works very well on leather...It might be an overkill for new leather, but with 1-2 applications a year it won't hurt. I use Pinnacle or Wolfgang leather condtitioner in between Leatherique applications.
 
I can't say I've tried Leatherique my self but I have tried a few other brands and I'm pleased with them but I look forward on using Leatherique.

Thank you for posting your experiance but do you have any pictures by any chance? I have a thing for pictures :D oh and yes if you could share your process that would be great.
 
because the leather in SRX (most Cadillacs in general) is not coated, it is a great covering for Leatherique in general as it absorbs well and will release dirt/grime. I find using Connolly's hide food on this same leather to be perfect month after month.

The leatherique process can be messy if you don't use common sense. I used a wax applicator sponge. I warmed exactly 4 oz of Rejuvenating Oil in
a glass measuring cup with the microwave for 20 seconds. 4 oz is reccommended per seat. I used the applicator and dipped in it the oil and carefully covered the seats with all 4 oz. It was a slow process because the oil is very light and splashes easily. I left the car in the sun as instructions advised for 8 hours, or can leave on your seats overnight if you choose.
After 8 hours in the sun I went back to see what happened and the dirt that had risen to the surface was alot. Like I said before my wife and I only drive the car with no kids, food, or drinks in the car. I didn't think my seats were that dirty but the oil really worked as it said it would.
The next step is using a spray bottle with the next product called Pristine Clean. After spraying your seats with Pristine Clean you wipe your seats down with a soft non linting cloth, I used an all purpose micro fiber cloth with warm water. You have to wipe the seats down at least twice with warm water to get all the cleaners off you applied.
My wife was gone for the day and when she returned should could not believe how new the seats looked. If you think about it when leather is processed almost all the natural oils are removed. After time in your car with the sun and people using the seats that's when your seats start feelng like cardboard and not the soft leather when you bought it. Leatherique replaces those oils and makes your leather feel like soft leather gloves. It was worth the 3 hours of work to apply and remove. I've never tried any other Leather cleaners but after seeing the results I got I probably never will.
