By loaded I mean I’m loading the FIRST FLEX Cordless Polishers in my suitcase to bring them home!

Those attending my Colorado Detailing Class will be the first Detailing Class in America to use these new cordless tools!

Don't let them walk away on their own. xD

Thinking of you the mobile guys, thinking of that scratched Porsche in the street and what about doing a quick demo to the owner, thinking of the guys who tend to twirl themselves in extension cord (yes, that's me), etc... They won't replace the corded ones obviously, but they open a lot of perpectives.

So COOL! I hope you won lots of money when you were in Vegas!

I thought you were sleeping with them Mike, like Eddie Van Halen and JIMI used to do with their guitars

Very nice! looking forward to a review after the Colorado class.

Those are awesome. Feel free to send some of old, crappy, corded machines my way. :props:

Are the two battery packs different sizes? The one near the PE14-2 looks smaller than the one near the XFE7; is it possibly a perspective difference from the camera?

Talk about being able to test spot on the fly to make a sale!

Correct.

2 battery sizes available. I'm not sure of the reason for this but I'll find out and get more specifics.

Kind of short on time, have to shoot B-roll video today with Yancy, not sure when we'll be done. Flying out to Colorado first thing in the morning for my incredibly hands-on detailing class at Evergreen Car Wash.

Can't wait to check out their hospital like detailing room...

Stay tuned for pics of the new Cordless FLEX tools in action at this class. Pretty cool to be the FIRST class in the U.S.A. to use these tools.

And here's two of the cars we'll be using them on....

Old School Cool and New School Cool

1970 Plymouth Cuda

The owner Bill says the basecoat/clearcoat paint on the 1970 Cuda is super soft - so we're going to try to coat it with GYEON Ceramic Coatings to make it easier for him to maintain.

Plus some other new cars for a very well-rounded class.

The Flex's look like they must be brushless motors when considering the small and slender size of the motor housing. (not talking about the length)

I am afraid of what the cost is going to be though. Anyone seen any ballpark price ranges for either of them?

Yes, brushless technology.

I've been told the $500.00 range for the complete kit.

  1. Polisher
  2. Battery Charger
  3. 2 Batteries
  4. Carry Case

So Mike was kind enough to allow me to play with these bad boys a SEMA on the black car in the AG booth.

-this tool is actually pretty light weight (or maybe I was just thinking it would be heavier)
-I worked the front right fender using blackfires new AIO polish and not only was it a dream to work and wipe off the machine was very easy to handle and maneuver. ive never really paid much attention to the control of the tool since the cord is always over my shoulder but when its not even a factor I was moving the polisher in a different way and it was nice.
-the tool felt more then powerful enough to handle the job at hand but I think it would easily remove a scratch on a mobile job with no issues.

for me being a mobile guy I instantly saw how I could use it and how this $500 range machine could make me more money.
- I can take it in my detail bag to car shows and meets, do test spots right there to demo for customers.
- when I go to a job site for a wash only and during those walk around's when a customer says "oh there's a scratch here, can you get it out?" I don't have to get my extension cord or generator, I can just lock and load and be done.
- also for the guys who want to machine apply sealant or wax, while yes this is a costly method I think a single charge would be more then enough to lay down a good coat of sealant on one battery IMO

$500 range not bad for what you get in the high end cordless power tool arena

Look awesome, with two batteries and probable reasonable recharge time you could pretty close use it for complete details

4-5 ah batteries go pretty long and can charge like 30 mins on a charger.
