Sounds like a job for the Geek Squad . Or maybe you should try doing a Google search for the same problem .
Definitely NOT a job for expensive Geek Squad.
Heres my suggestions.
1. Download Malwarebytes (simple google search and you will find it, very legitimate program I use it every couple of weeks to maintain my PC.) Scan your computer for infected files (trojans, malware, spyware, viruses, etc). Make sure to check the "Full Scan" option. Once files are found and automatically "quarantined", you will have the option to delete them. Which I would go ahead and do.
2. Windows 7 is good on indexing but I would recommend Defragmenting your hard drive (most likely won't fix your touchpad issue but will make your computer run much smoother)
3. Narrowing down which program is causing which problem is tough and takes a lot of time and patience. I happened to know it was Windows Live Messenger from narrowing down my time frames. I also keep a solid look on what is and isn't on my PC.
4. Use Firefox or Google Chrome as your browser and DO NOT USE Internet Explorer. After installed Firefox or Chrome, make sure you set either of them as your default browser. After that, open IE and under the preferences make sure to raise the security bars to HIGH and disable cookies. Also, delete the Cache file and delete all cookies.
I've been doing self computer diagnose for a long time now. Seen a handful of extremely annoying trojans and malware. Malwarebytes is one of the tried and true programs to use and its free. You can buy the "full" version (or hack it

).. but i't only unlocks a few different features that aren't really used anyways. Another Windows culprit is Norton, McAfee etc. Any sort of "anti-virus software" running on Windows seems to default the OS somehow causing extreme headaches.
Hope this helps you out, any questions feel free to ask and I can guide you.
