lets see the wax

Not much.. however.. I do use #16 regularly on customer jobs. I feel as if I have enough to last me a looooooooong time and theres no reason to keep it all for myself. Might as well offer it to the customers. I use #16 on the higher end details... #26 and NXT on the basic wash/wax combos. The 5050... its allllllllllll miiiiiiiiine, just for my baby. :D

Basically I try not to get hung up with the "collector" side of myself. I personally dont feel the need to have half a dozen different brands of carnauba. Not that there is anything wrong with that... but I feel simplicity is easier to manage when youre trying to make money doing this on the side. :)

These are my sealants.. the CG stuff is my personal stash. The Megs #21 is what I use on customers cars, for my sealant upgrades.

How do you like the CG's FS and "Blitz"? I have the M-Seal and like it. Just wondering how the other two compare. Thanks.

You have Souveran, CG 5050, Natty's Blue, Max Wax, etc. and your favorite is Meguiar's Gold Class? I'm surprised to say the least, but I guess this only furthers what I always say . . . detailing product selection is all about personal preference.

LOL, it was just a joke!! I kind of mixed my favorite and least favorite around. :)

Yeah. It's not too easy to tell when someone is joking over the internet. Usually people put one of these :D to let you know. ;)

Well I have to add some more, sorry about the Quality, but some more gear arrived from my brother-in-law from Japan...

Justin,

What do you think of the zymol waxes, how do they stand up to pinn. souv. or any other waxes AG carries. I know people make a big fuss about zymol.

Personally, there are some Zymols I like better than Souveran. Of course, for the price of one jar of any of those particular Zymols you could buy a lifetime supply of Souveran. Souveran is also easier to use. For me it's 100% about the looks. I don't care about other factors like ease of use or durability. So, I'll keep using Zymol, but I can't get it as cheap as I once did (no more Pebble Beach Sampler kit :( ). Once I'm out I'll probably switch to Souveran since it's so much cheaper and has comparable looks but I still have at least 18 oz. of various Zymols on hand.

Mikey, why don't you tru Swissol, I have had some really great results with them. They are VERY similar to Zymol in that you should and have to, use their prep polish etc to get the best results.

Also the range and prices of Zymol and Swissol are comparable here, with Sourveran being $99AUD and the Swissol Wax I use being $116AUD...

I have always wanted some Zymols. Which ones should I look at? :)

I just realized this, Don't know how I messed up, but I thought that was justi with the zymol wax, so my question shuld have been addressed to CD. My bad.

All the zymol products are great however they are expensive. Noone will argue that. But do not let people tell you that you can get the same results from sovegien. Its just not true im sorry.
Now back to which you want to try. That all depends on what you have to spend. If you want a wax about the same as sov. then i would try a hand crafter (either carbon or cream) both are good. If you want to spend a few hundred then try concours. My jar is still waiting to be used but it is the start of there estate glaze line. I have only heard a few people who didnt like it and most of them really just didnt like applying it by hand (not all biut lots). Apllying by hannd has a steep learning curve but once you have it figutred out you will never go back.

I know this isnt alot of info but i hope it helps non the less. I can also get you in contact with some long time zymol useres if you would like. Just shoot me a pm and i will make it so

I have to save up some money before I can buy more waxes. Unless there is a great deal of course. I was thinking of trying the hand crafter ones (carbon specifically) and maybe move on up to the concours once I REALLY have saved up. Is it like 300 bucks for 8 oz? :( Thanks for your opinions!

I know the feeling. If you want so try a wax similar to zymol. It works awsome and leaves AWSOME results (check out my thread on the eclipse.. it shows the death) then give vicotria wax concours a try. Its cheaper and is an awsome wax

If you want to try Zymol look to Concours (165.00), Ital (360.00), or Glasur (115.00) as some good choices from the Estate line. Concours reminds me of the original Paste Glaz, the new Ital is basically Souveran and I am awaiting some Glasur (it offers most white carnauba) and suspect we are looking at 5050/Souveran territory also. I never found Carbon, Titanium, nor Fantasy (discontinued) anything special.

Now if you read between the lines, you have several other choices at lower pricing that will offer similar/same look without paying for the Zymol name.

What makes Victoria and Zymol so special? What's behind that fatty price tag?
Can't imagine they top Souveran ( no pun intended!) LOL
