Let's talk about Cobra Microfibers

I've really been digging my cobra microfiber waffle weave drying towels. The guzzlers. They're spiffy. I'm also really digging my rolled edge towels. They're totally perfect for the removal of polishes. In my experience they don't work as well with a QD. I find them to be too "grabby" on the paint.

The closest towel that AG sells that is like the ones I'm currently using for QD is the Miracle Towel, from what I can tell. It seems like it's a medium nap, between the super soft 530g towels and the all-purpose towels. Is that a good description?

I've read the forums and some people had (are having?) some problems with the Cobra towels linting. These threads were older though and I wanted to see if this is still a problem before I pull the trigger on getting some new AG Cobra towels.

What do you all think about the quality of Cobra MF towels right now? Would you recommend a different brand that AG sells?
 
I love my Cobra microfibers. I have the both the blue and green Super Soft Deluxe microfibers for wax, polish and quick details. I too agree that for a QDs they are a little grabby.

For drying I use the Cobra Deluxe Ultra 600 and LOVE it!

I havent experiance any problems with my Cobra towels. All are with 1.5+ old or newer, no lint problem. Be sure to wash them when you first get them.
 
None of my Cobra towels lint, they're all at least 2 years old (cept for my new ultimate guzzler) and have been washed many times. The 600's are also my favorite. They're just about perfect for every task.
 
Everyone has their own opinion and I've found Cobra Microfiber products to work very well and I have nothing to say but good things.....:props:

I usually wait until they go on sale then pick up what I need. This way I can order a few extra and plenty on hand....:props:

  • Cobra Waffle Weave Glass Towel
  • Cobra Gold Plush
  • Cobra Super Plush 600
  • Cobra All Purpose
 
The Jrs (purple) and grey ones are best for quick detailers. I fell in love with the Sonus towel too but it does stain since its white.
 
I have had some of my cobras for 5 years and they are still not linting and going strong. I just use microfiber wash (any brand). I really like the purple JR's
 
I received the purple towel in December and that thing lints like crazy, it's been washed twice. I got the gray one at detail Fest and so far it's ok. One of my all time favorite towels that AG carries is the Griot's Garage Wax Removal Cloth. Still can't beat the Hawaiian towels though!
