Letting 114 air dry

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean that after cleaning with 114 that there'll be still dirt left behind? Your probably right but if that's the case, you shouldn't be drying it down anyway. Maybe I'll go over the car a couple of times with express wash. I plan to use GD's method. What I've been doing lately is wiping down with 114 and rinseing with CR ... this time im not gonna rinse or dry. Wipe down to get it as clean as possible then we'll see what happens

I mean that after cleaning with D114 and not wiping off the excess liquid thief will still be some amount of film left on the paint. It's called Locard 's Exchange Principle.

So I finally got around to doing my little air dry test. I was busy getting turned on by my new quick jack. Did i just write that out loud. Anyway let me preface by the reading on the cr is around 30. So I'll try again when I change the resin. So I couldn't see anything on the paint but I was in the garage and the car is silver. It did streak on the glass

What is the dilution ratio of the D114 that you're using?
TIA.

I sprayed down first as i always do. 1oz per for That and the same for my wash bucket 1oz per gallon. You think that's too much

I'll say that if your car isn't too dirty...
Go with the Meguiar's recommended Rinseless-Wash ratio
of 1oz to 2gallons of water = 1:256 ratio...

Not the 1:128 ratio you're using now.
That's the Meguiar's recommended Waterless-Wash ratio.

I'll try that and change my cr resin .. I'm probably deteriorating my lsp from washing frequently with a little too much solution

I've only used the 1:128 for Megs D114, do you find 1:256 does a good job?

Yes...
Especially by following the guidelines for a Rinseless-Wash
as found in these Mike Phillips articles/video:

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...irty-too-dirty-safely-use-rinseless-wash.html

Also:
If you are not comfortable, at the time being, of using
D114 @1:256 ratio...
Let me suggest that you experiment by first using a
dilution ratio of: 1oz of D114 to 1-1/2 gals. of water.

It may fit the bill for your detailing tasks,
and prove to be more economical as well.

My guess is when dirt, dust, and road film mixes with it, it's going to streak no matter how pure the water is. 100% of the dirt is not going to be pulled up into the wash media.
100&#37
What does 100&#37 mean ? I've seen it in a few posts .

The percent sign is for some reason disabled in this site. At least it's first iteration in a post.

100%
90%
80%
70%
60%
50%

See?

Not sure of the exact reason, but I think it has to do with the defence of malware code getting into the site.

Also, every time you edit a post, it goes back and removes the percent signs.
