Lexus detailing??

Hey, I saw in another thread that you were in a local detailing supply shop, that must have been PAL. Why don't you ask Mark? He sells to all the local detailers, he may know if anyone is looking for help.

No problem. On the up side, the Kia dealership has a full size $2000 Thresher extractor, so that's fun to play with. :xyxthumbs:

That sounds cool :hungry:

Plus you have a lab of genny pigs to practice different methods on. You will never face the customer and the worse that will happen is getting fired :bolt:

Hey Setec Astronomy is Percision still around from North Jersey? I used to deal w/Rick.

Yeah it was Pal in Piscataway. I was surprised when I found it. I was looking up old threads on MOL, and found out they use to have classes for Meguiar. So I stopped by and bought some stuff. Great idea Setec Astronomy.
Are there a lot of local detailers?

For me, The pricing and quality was good, because my business was mostly Dealer work. Sorry to hijack Slick.

Would you use those product on the cars you detail outside of dealership?

And are they cheaper then say Megs 105/205?

Can't say, never really worked with 105/205, but I plan to very soon when I get back into the business.

I love the ardex wash and wax soap, malco has alot of great and with a nice smell different type of wax. I also like their QD spray you could use alone or with a claybar. I think is safe to say Malco has more better products than ardex but there are somewhat products good from ardex.

I have, just because dealership use product AG dont sell doesnt necessarily means they are not good. Malco has a website and they got their products for detail also body shop and other amazing stuff. You have to know how to use certain products to get the best out of them.

"Yeah I just want to have something on my resume beside being an Autogeek."

Now is this actually on your resume?

First everyone is right. i do both types of work, dealer in the winter months and both in the summer.

Like someone said youll hate it after two weeks unless your a drone that just has no soul.

Second not to be rude but i think your in the box with this whole thing.

But you will see what i am talking about after a couple weeks of working at an auction, dealer or high volume shop.

And yes on a budget or trying to save a few bucks ARDEX and MALCO make great products.... i like the clear tire dressing.
And my fav is the variable gross water based dressing... smells like bananas

No autogeek is not on my resume I was just joking.

I guess I'll give it a try and see how it goes. I need something that is stable for now anyways.

Going still detail cars out of my driveway or go to people houses.

I got the job, I went in yesterday because I left something out in my application. They gave me a tour of the place and it looks legit. I should be starting in two weeks.

You want me to break down their meaning of 2 weeks? Glad you asked :)

They probaly hired someone last week, and have 4 or 5 others, but due to the constant turnover they know they'll need someone else in 2 weeks ;)
