Lexus GS 350 Cquartz uk in 88 degree heat.

I polished out this GS 350 and applied Cqurtz uk with high and high humility. Fist time with such a high heat. WOW you better be fast or you will have a mess. The coating flashed so fast that you have do very small sections at a time. What is the best coating to use to hot weather?

CQUK can certainly be quite finicky in higher heat and humidity. It is essentially wipe on/wipe off, and larger panels (hood, roof, etc) should be broken into smaller sections. Depending on the temp, I usually will not coat a panel larger than 1 door at a time and often break doors into 2 sections.


CQuartz Classic is considerably easier to use in higher temp. My personal favorite silica based coating to use in most temps would be 22ple products. For non-silica coatings, Optimum Gloss Coat has to be the easiest out there.

Cquartz classic flash slower at high temp , but you did right doing small sections, car looks great BTW.

Wax. At least it LIKES the heat.
 
I think you did great with the UK, especially on a black vehicle, since it will make the paint look very deep. You did what needs to be done with UK, small areas, wipe on, wipe off.

Its that easy.
