Got a call from my friend who runs 1320video that he just came back from a trip to a Pikes Peak Event. Decided to take his Lexus out there and trashed it with bugs. Luckily for him, my bug and tar removal products just came in.

Car Upon Arrival:

So.. After looking over the car I came up with a game plan. First up was Iron X all over the car to help remove particles in the paint and to liven it up a bit. Also during this step, I Iron X'd the wheels and washed the tires with an CG APC.

Next up was a foam bath that I used CG Citrus Wash and Mixed in Bug and Tar remover. I also made up a mixture in a spray bottle with the BT remover to hit harder filled in areas.

Worked like a charm:

Next Process after drying the car, the tires were coated with CG VRP and I ran an orange pad with a coat of HD speed. I am loving this HD speed for a AIO product.

Finished Results:

That is one gorgeous car; great job!

nice job :dblthumb2: the hd speed (if i recall) is a mixture of both hd polish and poxy so it's no surprise that it works well, they are both great products... :)

Car looks great. So you sprayed Ironx on the car before cleaning? I could be wrong but I thought the most effective way to use ironx was to wash then spray it on ironx panel by panel. Either way seems like you got great results.

I've read people doing it both ways, I probably use to much product but I like to do it as a first step when I am doing white cars. I Iron X, then rinse, Foam Bath, rinse then hand wash... There are mixed responses on whether or not to do it on a dirty car.

Wow it was so many bug guts on that paintwork that you almost couldn't tell it was white thought you saved it from its horror and it looks amazing

Nice job. That car has some great reflection and shine for white. What products were used on it to get it there before this washing session?

I've maintained this car pretty much since he has bought it so it's always been well taken care of by me. I've been using the same wash technique for awhile now, just on this one I added a bit of CG Bug and Tar wash to my Citrus Wash.

I also then made a mixture of the bug and tar wash in a bottle and sprayed it on before I went over it with my mitt. It cut through all those bugs with very minimal effort. I was also lucky that the weather has been cooler and he brought this car to me right when he got back from the trip. I believe the speed really made this car's paint pop this time.
