Lexus Self-Healing Paint

Nice, mine is the same color, but different wheels. Was this one brand new?

Hey Man, these are nice cars indeed and yes this one was failry new with 5,000 miles. I did a light one step correction and it came out fantastic baby! How do you like your ride?

I love it, very high tech, at least compared to the vehicles that I have owned in the past. Currently have about 50 miles on the car total. Have kept it in the garage until I can get around to applying a paint coating to it (probably this weekend). Going to use the McKee 37 coating, since it sounds like this is one of the more user friendly and forgiving options.

Nice man, I applied cquk on it and it was very easy to apply and the gloss was amazing. I did try Mckee wheel coating with good results. Post some pictures man!

I recently saw a few different threads around people have difficulty applying coatings, such as PBL, which is similar to the McKee coating. I am thinking of using Collinite 845 wax before, because I am now concerned about applying a coating.

I ended up giving the McKee's 37 Paint Coating a shot. It went on well and didn't flash as fast as I thought it would (some say it is immediate). Temp in garage was in the low 70s at the most.

Great looking Lexus!!!! I love the "stealthy" angled front end!!! How'd you like using the M37 coating? Slick feel? Noticeable difference?

Thanks. I really like the McKee's 37 Coating. I'm not really good at describing the various characteristics, but overall, it looks great. My main goal was protecting the paint, and minimizing maintenance beyond the usual proper car washes. Hoping that the protection lasts at least a year.

Wow good to know . I was about do a 2011 lexus. How long have they had this clear coat . So how does one wax or polish this type of clear coat.

Wasn't CarPro coming out with a coating like this? That they previewed at SEMA year before last (2014)?

Oh, here it is: CarPro Immortal - Self-Healing Technology
Yeah, it's out. Supposedly one of my former coworkers is getting his entire car repainted and then having the body shop apply it. I don't know how much I believe him but I know the stuff does actually exist.
