Light swirls after M105?

Finished Polishing - Couple of questions

I finished up the paint portion of my detail this week and really like the results. After M105, went over it with 205, then Blacklight, Lava and finally V7. I really like the results, although I think I could have done without the Lava (more on that later).

My questions:
1. I've been doing a lot of reading and I've read conflicting opinions relative to the safety factor of the DA polisher on 2 stage paint. Is it safe or not? My paint isn't even a year old (re-spray) and I don't want to burn off the clear coat just to have a swirl-free finish.

2. I have an issue with Lava. I applied it with my DA (Red LC pad) and it went on nicely, came off easily but when I looked at the paint more closely (under bright fluorescent light) I noticed a blotchy, bluish kind of appearance and I don't mean a haze like you get from wax drying. Think of the bluish film that oil has when floating on water. It didn't show up in the photos I took. I used ONR at the car wash dilution level (I keep a bottle of it around) to get it off but it's still there to a degree. The car is dark green, if it matters. Did I apply too much?

Once I get the car finished I'll post up some pictures. :)
