I just got a new dd, a 2021 gli in pure gray. Which is a non metallic gray.

while the car is technically my daily driver, it will see more limited use, as I work at home about 80-90 percent of the time. I polished it and applied 303 graphene when I got it a few weeks ago. I topped that with turtle wax graphene paste wax. It looks good overall, and will get a more complete polishing when the weather gets better.

as I was thinking over the weekend, durability isn’t quite as important as it has been in the past, since there are times the car will sit for 3-4 days at a time, and it will see limited winter duty.

my thought is that I can go with an lsp that has a bit more beauty with less durability being the trade off.

that being said, I would like decent durability, ease of use, and preferably something that has a compatible drying aid. So….any thoughts/suggestions? Anything is greatly appreciated.

3D Bead It Up has a really nice gloss to it. Pretty slick too.

It's also said to work as a drying aid as well.

I have two vehicles in the same situation you describe. The one that does have to go out in the snow and carries the family around gets spray + seal products. I often maintenance them with Si02 toppers. The car is white and always comes out great. These sprays are so easy to use that durability isn't a big concern either but so far durability has been great. C2V3 has been my favorite.

The other is a darker color and I've been old school with it and just trying various paste waxes. There's so many to choose from and while durability is again not a concern, I feel confident enough in them that I wouldn't hesitate to put them through snow and salt if needed. Dust accumulation in my garage is a bigger concern than anything else.

Long story short, you can play with any mix but I'd bet your current combo is doing pretty well in the looks and durability department. I have that 303 Graphene on my "to try list".

This would be good, but I would take it to the next step with 3D Poxy underneath it as a base layer. Nice and Shiny. On my GLI I like that it's ridiculously easy to clean with a ceramic coating, however. I have only done rinseless washes on it since coating it with CQ SiC and its a cinch. I keep the gloss up with Ech2O.

Agree with the Polish Angel if you don’t mind more intial investment. A 200ml bottle will last a couple years.

On that color i would go with their Primer Polish and their Carnauba Arts Grey Graphite.

I find that Bead It Up out lasts and is more durable than Poxy, and is what I'd personally use as the base layer. That being said, 3D says you can put it on top of anything.

Yeah, if I had a CarPro coating on a vehicle I'd probably want to use Ech2o as well.

Collonite 845 is the answer !

I’ve thought about 845. Always liked it. Thinking that combined with bead maker would be a nice looking combo with good durability. Plus 845 isn’t picky about what’s under it.
