When I bought the car, I thought, "those wheels look like they have a clear coat on them"
So I figured I would treat them like any other clear coat I work on. So I clayed them . . .
It was amazing how much junk came off of those wheels.
Then I followed with XMT 360 on all of them.
I like the way they looked and was satisfied. . . . Until
I cleaned out the garage and on the same fateful day that I found the Rain Dance I bought years ago, I found the Liquid Glass in the same box. Brain storm . . . The manufacturer claims its a super hard carbon based "car polish". (Car polish is in quotes because from what I understand from people on this site, it has no cleaning properties so I don't know if it is an actual polish or not)
My bright idea was to try it on the wheels on top of the XMT 360. . .

They really do look wet! I was impressed.

Nice wheels! Tires have just enough sheen to complement the wheels.

What 'bout them barrels tho?

Aww man. I didn't even think about the barrels. Great point. Thanks. Looks like I've got another excuse to use tools!

Those factory BMW brake pads will be your worst enemy. Pull those wheels, clean em up and seal them the same way you did the face, and your life will get a lot easier. That, and your ride will look that much more perfect.

Don't forget your torque wrench and torque to spec. :xyxthumbs:

Thanks for the advice. Won't the heat from the pads mess with the sealant? Also what about caliper paint? Maybe a clear coat in top?
