I wish I would have thought about this BEFORE I started with the heavy clay bar, then I wouldnt have had to polish so much

The truck I had in today has been taken care of in general and it is a 2014 Tacoma.

Even with claying the car some of the sap wouldnt come off. I pre-soaked with CG Citrus clear and washed with DG 901. Polished with XMT#4 and followed with XMT360 STILL some sap left over. Had the truck pulled out in the sun and decided to wipe down all streaks and call it a defeat.

Well the tip I have for you today is.

ONR @QD strength soaking on sap and lightly scrubbed with a Waffle Weave towel will work miracles in the sun!!!!!!!! Broke that sap down like it was meant for it!!!

If you ever get stuck with sap that wont come off give some ONR a try!! :dblthumb2:

I figure something like Stoner's Tarminator would work as well. That's my goto product.

That said, I never would have figured ONR would work. Interesting and thanks for sharing.

I'll have to give it a shot. My moms audi A3's hood is covered in sap that I can't get off completely. Thanks for the tip

Thanks for sharing, will have to try it next time I encounter some sap

Thanks for sharing your sappy-tip!! :props:

Kinda makes me wonder, though: If ONR@QD strength can Zap!-the-sap...with hardly breaking a sweat...What affect does it have on some of the beloved-LSPs that we have applied to our vehicles?!?!

that is a good tip, i have a car with some tree sap coming up, i will have to use this

Yeah, this is my first car with sap/tar so I didnt have anything specific for it. I hope this tip works for others.

Maybe the trick is to have the sap softened up by the heat of the sun too. I never thought to heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun but that may work too!

I've had great luck using Rain-X and a microfiber to remove sap quickly. For whatever reason, It works much better than straight alcohol and is the fastest easiest method I've found on sap.
