Little help with wheel stains

I have tried using a fwe OTC wheel cleaners and some sample stuff I got from detailking and have yet to get these spots off my wheel... no matter how much i brush them!!!!

Thanks in advance for any help! I even tried using PB wheel wax hoping it would buff off but no dice!
 
One wheel cleaner I have and use in cases like this is Meguairs Wheel Brightner. I have had several people that had problematic stains on wheels and I mixed a batch of this for them. Most have returned with an
approval of the stain being removed.
 
Stoners Invisible glass and a Magic Eraser should do it.

There was a post a while back where someone used that to remove the "green" tinge that had stained his wheels because they hadn't been washed in a while.

I can't seem to find it, but out of everything he tried, it was the melamine foam (magic eraser) and glass cleaner (he used Stoners Invisible Glass- but I guess any other brand should work just as well) that cleaned the wheels up nicely.
 
From the picture, it looks like the surface has a texture instead of being smooth?

If that's the case then whatever the black stuff is it's wedged into the lower pits of the rough surface and it's going to be hard to convince it to leave no matter how you attack it.


As for Meguiar's Wheel Brightener, its not for use on uncoated aluminum or magnesium wheels nor anodized aluminum.

If that is a textured surface then it's likely uncoated aluminum so don't use WB on them.

How's the rest of the car look? By that I mean you're really getting down to the fine details at this point.

Hopefully that's what they originaly looked like, and it's not a result of using the Megs Wheel Brightener...

It almost looks like they are bare aluminum that has been media blasted....
 
They are the factory Toyota wheels... this is my personal daily driver. I do not know what the previous owner used on them. The only thing I have tried is mothers all wheel... and APC with scrub brushes... and some aluminum polish but its did not blacken quickly so I stopped trying it...

They do have some texture to them...

I am don't mind doing the scrub work but I worry about getting to aggressive or using to strong of a chemical and potentially damaging the wheels
 
there is a full wheel shot in the OP... its not noticable from standing height
