Live Broadcast on AutogeekOnline this Thursday Night!

Mike, I'm not sure if this is a Thursday night project like all the others where we sign up to come down and work on the car. If so, I'm available. Also, if it is should we be there at 5pm as usual. I was going to bring the GTO down, but if this project starts after it's dark already I can wait until the next one. Den

Hi Den,

This is like all the others in that we're going to start at 5:00pm on Thursday. We won't start the live broadcast till around 8:00pm to 8:30pm.

Here's the dealio...

We're not going to broadcast us guys buffing out each square inch of this car for 2-3 hours going over it multiple times with different pads and products.

We as in the team of guys that buff out the Charger are going to do everything except the hood. The live broadcast will be showing the process we used for then entire car to just the hood.

While I"m sure there are a lot of guys out there that love watching the lower panel of a door or fender get buffed out for other's 2-3 hours of this can get kind of redundant.

The key points about showing,

  • The Rupes Mini Polisher
  • The Rupes Duetto Polisher
  • The Rupes Microfiber Pad
  • Pinnacle Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish
  • Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating
Will more than get the idea across as to how the tools and products are used and how they perform by just knocking out the hood.

This will keep the live broadcast down to the time of a normal TV show while hopefully capturing and maintaining the attention span of the widest spectrum of viewers.

Make sense?

Here's the link to the sign-up thread, it's in the Sign-up Thread Forum Group but not on the bottom of the homepage where I usually link to it.

Sign-up: 2013 Jazz Blue Charger - Extreme Makeover!

I have 2 each of the new Rupes polishers. These will be available for everyone to use. I will also have the Rupes Bigfoot 15 and 21 ready to use on this car on Thursday.

Do we have a start time???

Not an exact time but somewhere around the 8:00pm to 8:30pm time frame.

Yancy is leaving work at his normal time and then returning later in the evening after we have all the grunt work done.

The contest is nice, but I'm really more interested in seeing how these new polishers might benefit my business. I might not be able to watch it live but am looking forward to seeing the video either way!

Just click on the link at 8pm and the feed will pop up? Or is there more we need to do?

The contest is fun...

As for how these polishers would benefit any detailing business would probably come down to the type of work you do and/or personal preference.

I know a lot of guys at SEMA really like how smooth and low vibration the Duetto is compared to the other dual action polishers.

One thing for sure, if you've been using the traditional DA polishers for some time then you have to retrain yourself to not push hard but instead use a light touch when using Rupes polishers and let the long orbit through, pad and product do the work.
