Live Broadcast Thread - 2006 Redfire Mustang GT - M105/M205 Twins - Extreme Makeover

Re: Pictures and Videos - 2006 Redfire Mustang GT - M105/M205 Twins - Extreme Makeover

Nick,
Thanks for the info on towels, and the PDR. Very reasonable price for the dent repair. Those types of dings are just upsetting to have in the body.

Don

There will be a lot of great information shared during tonight's broadcast. :props:

Great tip Mike! You should always shake your compound/polish before using it.

Notice how slow Mike is moving the polisher across the surface. High speed, slow arm movement = swirl-free paint. :dblthumb2:

While Mike is giving a quick lesson on the DA polisher, Robert is dispensing a quart of M-105 into several Autogeek Squeeze Bottles.

Great tip Mike! Always inspect your towels before using them.

Mike's breaking out the rotary for the tight areas. With its slim, lightweight design and buttery smooth motor, the FLEX PE14-2-150 is incredibly easy to control. It's definitely not your grand daddy's rotary polisher. :dblthumb2:

A little late but Mike is use a HT Cyan and M105 and the gentleman on the hood is used a HT tangerine in M105?

Re: Pictures and Videos - 2006 Redfire Mustang GT - M105/M205 Twins - Extreme Makeover

Is the surgical buffing with a rotary the preferred method instead of using a DA with a 3" backing plate and pad?

All the DA polishers are equipped with 5.5" LC FLAT ORANGE pads. :dblthumb2:

For getting in the really tight spots, the rotary buffer with a 3" pad is tough to beat. The next best thing is a Griot's Garage 3" Polisher.

Now Mike is showing how to clean a foam pad on the fly with a rotary polisher.
