LLC pending

Hey geeks...

I applied for my LLC here in Indiana and currently it is pending. Does anyone on here know what types of things they are looking for to approve it? It just seems as though the app was very basic and didn't ask many detailed questions. What are reasons it could be denied?

If anyone has any insight please feel free to comment. Thanks in advance..
 
How long ago did you apply? It can easily take 2-4 weeks for an application to be approved or go through the system. In NY I waited a ridiculous amount of time for my application for incorporation and other approvals.
 
It was today. I'm not necessarily being impatient just more curious as to what to review. It just seems as though I didn't have to disclose to much info. Before I knew it they just wanted payment..
 
Some states are easier than others. LLC's are almost as easy as forming a sole proprietorship. Really not too much required to do so and fairly easy to stay on top of the paperwork.

If you just filed today, then as of now it is just a waiting game. I'd imagine they get a decent amount of traffic per day to take care of so pending may mean it has not even be looked at yet.

That's a very good start and you chose wisely with an LLC. Definitely the easiest to maintain but still provides some protection and professionalism.

And I just noticed your name haha. Thanks, I've been a Subaru fan all my life and this RS is my pride and joy!
 
Turbo or not I love those cars..also indiana must move quick, just got an email I've been approved. That didn't take much..
 
Haha wow congrats, that was fast. Do you have a good accountant and lawyer to work with or are you winging it?
 
I come from a large family (brothers and sisters) 2 have doctorates and 2 mba's so I've been leaning on them for guidance. However I may get with a CPA?
 
That's very useful. It is good to surround yourself with those types of people from now on. It is definitely a good idea to find a really good accountant now too. For an LLC it is totally possible to do everything yourself, but focus your time on work and the business. The cost of a CPA is very affordable so you are better off focusing on making money.
 
I guess my next step is to register with the IRS. I need to get an EIN number to I can setup a businees acct. I'm assuming I do not need a business license to register with them. If you do need one feel free to chime in.
