Hence the reason why I always do my own work from scratch. I'm on my phone but subscribed to share more tomorrow.

The issue of Copywright and intellectual property is a tricky one. I'm sure someone will chime in (or I can share my experience... I owe 3 businesses)

I thought you had designed it from scratch, hence why I was asking you what vector program you where using.

If you guys want to "stand out" from the crowd, look into getting a custom logo made. Copywright it, etc.

It is from scratch . I have I bunch of others mad to using vector programs and some others.

If it makes you feel better, I centred mine and hypelinked it.. completely different than your setup

Im not necessarily mad at you, just the situation and the fact that you asked what type of logo you should use and you use one of the exact ones from someone that responded to your thread. I was told that mine was made from scratch and apparently it was not. Thanks all for clarifying it.

And the logo does stand out . This guy is in canda the other in texas I don't think they will conflict with each other at all. In my town noone is using it at all . The silhouette is just a nice one it goes with what we all do here (detail cars) .

Agree. While im not saying it doesnt stand out, its just very common. The same car outline Is used for an exotic car dealership here. Not the exact curveture, but the same concept.

Well I actually didn't make it. I also figured because we are in different countries, have different names, there would be no confusion out there. Please do recall when I said I was on a budget too. I dont have $1000+ to spend on a custom scratch logo. I am going with this one for now.

If you were told it was from scratch.. Id go back and get a refund.

You say you have no budget but yet you just copy whatever you like? Regardless of whether my logo was "custom" or not is besides the point. Im just upset since you just blatantly copied mine.

Want a professional logo? Spend the money and hire a professional graphic designer.

Thats what ive been saying. I did hire one but you all have brought out some truth to his "work" for me. I will keep this one for now but am looking into another one for future use. Thanks for the insight fellow AG'ers.

A silhouette doesent make it yours . Your name is what makes it yours . The slights change in a logo or drawn can make any trademark or copyright voided . Plus your company name and many others on here are not unique . You can type in 90 percent of them and I bet you find someone in different state or county using them. Making a unique name or logo is very challenging to do. That is why most just use nicknames or lastnames for their business and silhouette as yours and many others . Far as having a pro doing one. Have fun finding one that's not just using something he used on someone elses .

I did not blatantly copy you, if anything my guy and your guy used the same software. My name and letters are completely different from yours. I had about 5-6 logos to chose from and I liked this one the most. I honestly do not care if you have a similar logo, I do not make customers on AG, let alone ones that would confuse me for you. You are in Texas and I am in Alberta. I am not bothered by this. I am sorry you did not get what you were expecting, but for the fact this silhouette is so generic and widely used. I cannot be sorry for using it.

Well this got out of control real quick!!! :argue:

For one it doesn't take thousands of dollars to have a new logo made from scratch, sometimes you really just need to go out and do some shopping. That means calling, writing, different graphic designers and graphic companies, along with listening to those who have had logos made from them. This time I'm actually going to give you some info that is going to save you time.

In New Logo Designs(Need Feedback) I have several logos posted so you can get an idea of what I'm referring too.
After doing all I was contacted by Hazel Salubon of Jutsu Graphic Design and she gave me an amazing price (actually 60% cheaper than every other design company quote and 20% cheaper than any individual graphic artist quote.) Against my better judgement I'll tell you what she quoted me, For your new logo, 2 design suggestions for $80; 3 design suggestions for $100 and 5 design suggestions for $150. After you pick ONE and submit any corrections to the design you want, they do a finale high resolution design and your all set.

After choosing which package I wanted and paying the deposit, Hazel took my wants and needs for what I wanted my logo to represent and had one of there artist by the name of Jorrell do the mock-ups and final rendering, and all I can say is wow, he not only did everything I asked for but his work is impeccable, due to the holiday our responses to each other were a little delayed but after the holidays the response time was less than 24 hours which is a big plus for me. If you take any advice from me contact them and I promise you won't be disappointed, I'm even Jorrell do my banner design and my tri-fold brochure also.
I hope this makes life easier in having a logo made for those in this forum and especially Andr3wilson who thinks it costs a fortune to have a logo made and those like me who have the inabiity or time to design there logo.

If you do contact them, can I ask you for a special favor and ask that you tell them that I referred you just as one of your customers would refer your service. You can use the info in my signature.
