Well guys im finally getting a logo created from a grpahic artist in town here:dblthumb2:. I have given him the ideas and what i want in it, but something I couldnt answer was what sizes/formats would i want them in. I will use this image for:

Feed back please
Shirts
Business cards
Return address stickers
Webpage

everything really that we put our logos on. Is there one key size and format or how does it work? I do know I will have the final design in a "vector" format because my tattoo guy said if i did this he would sticker my vehicle since i've worked with him for 10 years on ink!:props:

please give me your input, Thanks in advance, Tory

If you have a vector image in either .ai or .eps you can pretty much do anything you would ever want as they are scalable with no loss in quality. Some artists may not want to part with the native vector images unless you pay for the rights to them. Much like wedding photos, the images are the creators property and you are paying for the use of them. Some shops will not reproduce the images unless you can prove that you own the rights. If you can't get a vector image, get the highest resolution .jpg you can as it is very easy to go smaller but very difficult to increase the size for large items, but the vector image is king.

Ok so if i read that correctly ONE vector image no matter the size will work? Btw I will own all rights to the logo after its created.

That is correct. As long as you have the image in a vector format, you can send that to anyone who does printing and they will be a-ok. You would need special software (Adobe Illustrator-$$$ Inkscape- free) to view / edit the image yourself, but any printer will be very happy if you send a vector format. Best of luck.
