Hello guys,

Right now I use Rain-X for treating windshields and exterior Windows.

A co-worker of mine mentionned to me that he does a treatment every year on his truck and that the product they use lasts a year!

As far as I know Rain-X lasts about 2 months. Never tested the exact durability but I think 2 months is at the outer limit of what it can do.

Do you know of a product that would last a year, or at least a lot longer than Rain-X?

I really like Aquapel. I get about 6 months on my daily drivers. I have been wanting to try Opti-Glass but the cost has scared me off a couple of times.

Question... IIRC aquapel is toxic. Feed back please

I've had good results with carpro flyby30. It's lasted me months on a daily driver outside 24/7. But I rarely use my wipers so maybe that helps.

gtechniq smart glass lasts up to 30,000 miles. check out the youtube videos on it.

Polishangel Rain and Gtechniq smart glass are the only real good ones IMO

I just use my AIO. it will last longer than rain ex, I also put a cap of twrw (turtle wax rinsles wash) in with the wiper fluid. why pay extra for rain ex. oh and stay away from rain ex no fog. I think its crap.but thats my opinion. I dont like rainex products. I noticed a few years ago it seems to build up and then haze. Try the AIO and adding to your wiper fluid. makes a big differance for me. ill even use an AIO on the inside also after I clean it real good. i find it does help to keep fog down. Workes in my full face moto helmet

I have been using Adams glass sealant but recently switched to NanoSkin Rain. Easy to apply and works great. has been on my windshield for 3 months and still going strong in the rain

Can you use klasse SG for glass sealant?

Just looked at smart glass. Looks like a long lasting product and the price isn't too bad either. I need to use up my flyby30 first! Lol

25 bucks for half an oz,,, thats pretty steep even if it last 2 yrs. Ill keep using AIO and my windshield mix.

I have never tasted it. I have never smelled it. It doesn't appear to be toxic to me.

I would imagine that most of the products we use are toxic to someone or something. Especially if used incorrectly.

Just wondering, I've always wondered why you guys need, sealants, waxes, coatings, etc... On your windshields? Is it because of where you guys live and the different weather conditions?

Just wondering... Some feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

I applied PL to my windshield after claying it, Just for kicks.... Hasn't rained or anything, so I just know that it's there lol. (No other benefits really, I will be washing my car Friday with my new gear that should get here Thursday. So I guess, I'll be able to enjoy the water beading off the windshield)

:)

Optimum Opti-Glass. Super easy to apply, provides great beading and protection. Retail version lasts 1 year pro version lasts 3.
