Longest lasting spray wax?

Also, some spray waxes (and spray sealants) can act very weird as the temperatures get down to 40 degrees and below. Any spray product is easy to apply over 50 degrees...but I have found very few spray products that are easy to apply in winter as toppers.

I've used XMT all winter, and I really, really like it. I can apply it in almost any condition after a wash...sunny & hot, cold & wet, etc...doesn't matter. Many spray products are temperature sensitive and that is an important factor in my decision, not so much longevity.

OCW, although a great product...has never behaved very well for me in cold conditions. Some would argue that you shouldn't be using these products in winter anyways (or they live in warmer climates). I still top my car after every wash year round, so any spray wax or sealant I buy has to work for me every time.

OCW - and yes, it lasts long enough to use as a stand-alone LSP.

Werkstat AJT, stand alone LSP that you spray on. Two coats will outlast pretty much any other spray product out there. I've heard of 6 months, and I've seen 4 months on my own vehicles.

I use Optimum Car Wax, Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Spray and XMT Spray Wax.

I love all 3 and all 3 last decently long for spray waxes.

How lond did it bead for you? Thanks!

It lasts about four weeks (it was still there at four weeks, but degraded enough that I'd re-apply another coat) - I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but the tropical climate here in the Philippines wreaks havok on LSPs. As a comparison to some other commonly used products, BFWD was also visibly degraded after four weeks, and Collinite 845 was starting to give after six.

Thankyou!:props:

Another vote for OCW.
If you want added durability, there are essentially 2 things you can do; multiple layering, since it is SUPER easy and quick to apply (I always do 2 layers a month during the winter), or polycharge it. My polycharger order is still on its way here, but given reviews from people on the forum, it does work nicely with OCW.

the new Reload is suppose to be very durable.

Spray waxes are so easy to apply and look so good that most guys are using them like detail sprays by applying them after each wash or every other wash. I think therefore the debate about which spray wax lasts longer is an over rated one. Spray waxes are used best as a topper and not as the LSP.

I don't really agree. Currently I am just using spray wax every week as LSP and my car got no any spotting deffect like water spot or tar.
Last time before be spray wax fan, I applied liquid sealant every two months and sometime I got water spot on my roof.

by applying spray wax every week , I found my car is more protected, and ocw easy last for one month.

Looking at getting a gallon of OCW so glad to hear it is getting so many good reviews...

Honestly I only use a spray wax on the white car. It's difficult to see if I've left any wax residue, so a quick spray and wipe with a spray wax ensures I've cleaned it all up

I use OCW, but i love Four Star's spray wax with the polycharger the most. I use SCG Speed Demon for wheels and calipers (after sealing them of course).:buffing:

Anyone used Sonax High Speed Wax, it is currently BOGO. is it worth it or just go with OCW?

Thanks

collinite 845 last long. I pour it into a spray bottle, dilute with water 1:1 and bam... spray wax.

Hmmm... don't quite see how that would work - 845 isn't water soluble, it clumps together when I mix it with water. I can see mixing a solvent (maybe mineral spirits?) with the product to thin it out, but I don't see how water would work.

I've used both Optimum and the Pinacle Liquid Souveran and like them both about the same. That being said, I use them after my weekly wash just to add a little more "pop" and shine to my cars. Every 4-6 months I strip off my old wax, re-seal the paint with Meguiar's Sealant 2.0 and then top it with two coats of #845. My cars have never looked better!
