Look at what P21S just sent me...

Well, we just went out for dinner and it started raining. So in true AG fashion, I excused myself from the table to see how the wax was beading on my truck.

Reminded me of Z2 Pro, but much finer beads. Very nice!!!

that could mean a high content of beeswax, thats what P21S uses in the past wax to make those amazing beads. Unfortunately its no benefit to the paint, but does look mighty cool !!

I never knew that's what caused it Scott, thanks for clarifying!

you find it as an ingredient in alot of those wash/wax products also. Nothing really protecting the paint, but some beeswax to make it bead up and look like its protected. Unfortunately its like paraffin and montan waxes and does nothing to protect or refract UV exposure.

So has anyone figured out what waxes these are if they aren't new? I can't place the smell of the 263, but it's pretty bad. The 201 smells like crayons.

scenting is usuallly one of the last things added to a product, so maybe it will end up smelling like roses !!

I don't really care about the smell.. as long as the product delivers, I could care less.

I hope to use them some-time tomorrow.

Well I was looking at their site again, and notice they only have one wax. So unless they are looking to change the formulation, I would think they are testing for something new?

I like having a good smelling wax. I love Nattys Blue. :)

My guess as well. I don't think it's the "same" thing.. either reformulation or a new wax.

I agree with the smell, it's pretty awful. I actually commented on it in my questionnaire.

To clear up any confusion, P21S is not making a new wax at this point in time.... they are just doing some testing. This may be the first steps of a new wax but nothing definite.

Bump ;)

So they're not coming out with a new wax, just testing the wax they currently sell? Shouldn't they have done that before they started to sell it?

Why would they do that?

Just got my samples today! #201 & #263! Woot! Cannot wait for the weekend to arrive to test them!

Let us know the results/progress Bigfoot!!!

after getting a chance to see both first hand, one looks similar enough to be the original product and other is new or change. One seems to have alot more oils in it, and does hold the dried appearance.

I have no clue. I e-mailed them asking about some information about the new waxes that are out for testing. They replied by saying that they are not producing a new wax but run tests from time to time. I think this could generate info to create a new wax or it could be for the company to see how consumers react to waxes, to see what they are looking for out of a wax, to see if those samples are worthy of production, etc. I'm sure that they have their reasoning behind the tests but I wouldn't expect a new wax from them in the close future, sigh.

I hope the P21S company is making a new wax. I read somewhere that if the wax smells like crayons, it has a certain wax in it. I think it was paraffin or something.

*BUMP*

So did anyone else ever test these? How is it turning out?

This has been the only wax my wife's Explorer has seen since I got it back in April and I've seen more than pleased with it. I'm almost out of it, but I think I can probably push it for another few more layers!

I got one of the free test kits as well. When I sent my $.02 back to them, they sent me a free bottle of wheel cleaner.

I wax once a month so I couldn't really guage the durability. However, both test samples went on and came off easily.
