Looking for a good drying towel

I am awaiting delivery of a couple of the PFM towels. Can't wait to try them.

GG PFM. All my other drying towels are just back ups now. I plan on picking up 2 more in the future but I can dry an entire car with 1 without having to wring it out.

Are those towels more so great for the enthusiast than the volume detailer? Judging by the "only need 1 to dry the whole car" it kinda seems so.

Nevermind a car, I can dry a full size SUV with this big 70/30 waffle weave..

It's thick and dries everything in its path in 1 pass.. So what's the big difference? Or why is everyone going crazy about that PFM towel? Lol.

I've been using the Griot's Garage large drying towel, the one with the pockets sown in, for over 10 years. Infact, I have one that is over 10 years and its still going strong, especially since finding mf towel cleaner, works wonders.

How does the foam core hold up after repeated machine washing and drying?

Since I use mine flat, they're still going strong after 4+ years of use. Machine wash, extra rinse and air dry is how I care for mine.

Just recieved my pack of two PFM's. Wow! Are these things dense, I swear each 16x16" towel weighs about a pound and a half. We're in severe drought conditions now, But I can't wait untill the next rain so I can try one out.

Griots PFM's for the win !!

Rained today, quite a bit. Went out to perform a test wipe with my new PFM towels (2), 16x16 inch size, slightly larger than a standard facecloth.

Well, I dried the entire SUV (medium sized) with two towels. Almost completed the drying with just one towel, but I went to the second one just to be sure. Wrung out a lot of water from the main towel, couldn't get any from the second towel. These are one thirsty towels.

I was stunned by how much they hold....still need to get a couple of the small ones

I stocked up on Cobra Guzzler Waffle Weaves and now I see this PFM towel getting all the love...is there a big difference?

Couldn't tell you. I've never used a Cobra Waffle Weave, I hear they're good though. But a 16x16 inch waffle weave won't hold as much water as the 16x16 inch PFM, I can tell you that. Besides, for me, I personally like the 16x16 size and most waffle weaves are quite a bit larger - I don't care for the larger sizes. But that's a matter of personal preference. YMMV :xyxthumbs:

I use the Edgeless Avalanche super plush drying towel. I have the pluffle but the avalanche plush towel seems better to me. I noticed less marring that a waffle weave such as the Meguiar's water magnet or the Cobrea Guzzler's that I have.

What? The Guz doesn't prefer the Guzzlers? Lol.
