Greets all,

I have had a few customers request that there tires look glossier than mine. I am using Pinnacle BOTG and love it BTW, but some wish to have a high gloss look. I need suggestions, currently I am using Megs High Gloss Hot Shine. It gives the look, customers are happy, but lacks in durability with two applications. Anything out there that delivers a high gloss, wet look, and has better durability then what I am using now?

Respect,

A

When showing one of my vehicle's, I usually amp up the tire shine. Normally I use SCG Beyond Black...but for years now when its time for a high gloss, I will use Black Magic Titanium Tire Wet Gel.

The stuff is the highest shine I have seen, it goes on nice, and after drying I have never had any sling with it. When I was daily driving my truck that had larger sidewalls, I would keep them coated with this stuff, and it lasted for weeks on end. When it sit in the garage most of the time, I usually only applied it twice a year. It also repels water like nobody's business.

I used to use the Meg's HG Hot Shine, but this is better for a long lasting high gloss.

Of course Black Magic is predominantly a consumer line, not a pro line, so it is subject to instant fail by those who think all consumer products stink. :)

I have to agree with Black Magic Titanium Tire Wet Gel...one nice coat is insanely shiny and will last for a few weeks. Washing the vehicle only seems to refresh the shine.

But I have since stopped using that product because I found it to be way too sticky. As soon as I pulled up to my job site (construction), my tire side-walls would be brown from the dirt the Black Magic picked up.

Megs Hyper Shine non diluted may work for you.

While not my choice this works well initially and in most professional settings. Poorboys Bright/Bold is another but water based and durability is a bit lower.

Wouldn't Meguiar's All Season Dressing fit the bill?

PB Bold and Bright, can be glossy or matte. Durability, although most say is limited, I have had it on over a week on my SAAB and drove it in the rain last weekend when we got almost 4" and they tires still look great, I can post pics.

PB bold and bright is still there after a week's driving in all conditions, and is sometimes there after 2 weeks. What I find is that the more you use it, the more it lasts, if that makes sense. And this is only with one application to make it look matt.

I have a sample of PB B&B, it is not glossy enough for the custs. They are looking for a glassy shinny look.

i use megs tire shine (gel) - last long and does not sling.

If you have PB B&B, try applying two coats. They say one coat for matt finish, and 2 coats for a more glossy finish. But it may not be glossy enough for you.

I'm all for the Black Magic Titanium!!! That stuff lasts forever. Although it is very sticky. Can't win 'em all.

Personally when i want big shine I go for either black magic titanium gel or armor all gel.... They shine real nice and last a good while. And you can get them OTC
