I am curious what are some suggestions for interior detailing/care products?

I've been looking around and I've found mainly chemical guys and 1Z einszett products have caught my attention.

Would be great to get other opinions and suggestions :)

What are you trying to clean/protect?

Good Question, a little more info would really help us out.

Of course, in general a decent APC (all purpose cleaner) will clean most of the items in your interior. You will get suggestions for everything from Fantastic/409 to Simple Green, to APC products from dedicated companies such as the ones you listed as well as the others here on AGO. My favorites are anything in what I call the big 4 lines, Pinnacle, Blackfire, Detailers Pro, and Wolfgang. There are cleaners that say they are dedicated to this material and that material, but the APCs work very well and most can be used on any material you will find in your cars interior including the carpet. Then you have to protect it. You can use a good vinyl/rubber dressing for a lot of the vinyl on the dash and door panels. If you have leather, you can use a dedicated cleaner followed with a dedicated condioner, I prefer to use the AIO cleaner/conditioner for normal cleaning and use the dedicated products about quarterly. That will pretty much cover you. You can go crazy buying 15 different products for each and every part of the interior, or get 2 or 3 products that will work on them all 1: Cleaner (APC), 2: Protectant (pinnacle vinyl and rubber protectant, can also be used on tires) 3: leather cleaner and conditioner. Then you have the glass, DP Krystal Vision. Hope this helps.

I guess more information would have been a better start to this topic haha.

Sorry, I am thinking vehicle interiors in general, fabric, leather, plastics, glass. I don't know if that's really 'more information'

I know there will be more then one product necessary to do all parts of an interior, as well as a steam cleaner - or something to that effect.

If your looking to clean fabric, folex works great. just spray on and rub in to clean. If your working on plastic such as cupholders, you can buy zep citrus and a sprayer and diliute then clean it. Chemical guys leather also is good. Just spray and scrub with a leather dedicated brush

Thanks!

I'll have a look at those products.

From personal experience a diluted APC works great on plastics and for leather CG offer a 2 in 1 cleaner for leather and it works fairly well for moderate to light cleaning power.

1Z Einszett Deep Plastic Cleaner ranks as one of the best interior products I have ever used.

I think your a bit overwhelmed here and thats fine, keep in mind that using an apc on leather is a no no unless its a last ditch effort. Use the correct product for the job.

I use Optimum Power Clean (10:1) on dirty leather, with good results.

On dusty, but not dirty coated leather, I skip the OPC and go straight to Blackfire Interior Protectant.

:iagree:

Also, use caution using Deep Plastic Cleaner on leather. It is a potent product with very high PH levels (15+). Does it work great on leather that's really disgusting? You bet it does especially when combined with steam. But if you're not careful it can and will remove leather coatings.

???

I've used APC+, HD Total, 3D APC on leather for years with no ill results.

Most leather is extremely nasty and soiled and needs aggressive treatment. 1:10 APC works great.

Isn't the pH scale 0-14? How then do you get a pH of 15+?

That's why I'm asking for I out as to which product is the best for which job - in others opinions.

You can always call AutoGeek and get their advice and then you can comeback here for further advice.

Just a thought,
