Looking for a new car... Opinions?

We have a 2010 Sorento, had a 2001 RAV4, have a 2011 Optima, selling a 1993 Toyota Supra TT, and many many more but

I hate the 2010 Sorento AWD. It drives like ####, and some of the interior ergonomics is just stupid. I know after I get rid of the 93 Supra we're picking up a 2011 Sorento or a Sportage and the fit/finish/material and the FEEL of actually driving is like FL Summer vs NY Winter.

Also about the whole "Amurica" statement, just buy a Hyundai than since most of the stuff they build comes from Birmingham Alabama (pass on the Genesis sedan and Sonata). Hell a fracking Toyota Camry is more built in "Amurica" than most of the stuff GM sells. Oh yeah BMW's X5 and X3 all South Carolina built "Amurican" car.

But if that doesn't bother you OP just go out and test drive some of these things and get back to us. I would suggest Buick also but they have gotten ex termly expensive brand new with that awesome new restyling that they went under.

Ummm, what's with the "Amurica" thing?

The perception that some people have over that is American made and what isn't in car Manufactures just because of what Badge is placed on the hood.

Pick up a used E46 M3.

19~25k will buy you a great to good E46 M3 with normal to high mileage. Such a great drivers car.

SRTSean why aren't you re recommending the SRT-4 Neon :P

Unless it's cash the bank probably won't let him get that old of a car. Speaking of though, I saw a '99 fully loaded for $14,500 with 75k on it. Such a nice car!

That's the E36. I'm thinking of the 2001-2006 model.

I understand that many American cars aren't entirely made in America, and many foreign cars are at least partially made in America. I was just questioning your repeated spelling "Amurica". Not sure what that was intended to mean.

FWIW, I now own a Ford truck after having a 4Runner for 12 years, and my wife has a Nissan Murano after having a Chevy Suburban for 8 years. All great vehicles in our opinion.

It's a joke from South Park and a few other show when chest thumping about 'America'

Try a high end 2012 Ford Focus....no better car on the road today!

** You have a much greater selection of cars in your price range in the US, than in Canada.

might be a tad out of your range, but I just bought a 2011 gti and the car is amazing. It's an all around fun as f&^% car

Should go out and check more online forums, this place is pretty civil/nice-nice compared to the online warzones with fads that come in and out in a day.

Sounds teenageish but that's just how it works most of the time on the net. Even when dealing with a 50yr old it can get heated.

That's one of my favorite parts about autogeeks forums. Other forums with heated debates and swearing get old. I do enough of that in person so it's relaxing to be able to come on to a forum with respect. Something so many people have lost or just plain don't have.

Since you like to have fun while you're driving, definitely get a car that's considered to be an actual sports sedan. Something RWD or AWD.

Lexus IS250 or IS350

Infiniti G series

BMW 3 series

Pontiac G8 perhaps?

Rei86: What's this I hear about selling a 93 Supra? I absolutely LOVE Supras. What's the asking price?

Don't know if I'm allowed to post this but I have it up for 20k OBO.

I love my car but when you need money, you need money.

+1 on an Infiniti G series. We have a few sedans that follow us on our drives full of 3xxZ's and G3x coupes and the sedans keep up in the corners and straights pretty well. If I needed a 4 door car I'd definitely consider one. Shouldn't be too bad of a price used. I did a quick search for certified pre-owned price on Kelly Blue Book's website and a 2007 mid-trim package with a couple upgrades came at as 26K. You could probably find cheaper for sure if you're open to used.
