Looking for a new Polisher

Get the Flex it's more flexible then a Rupes because the throw is not as big. It's easier to manage edging and smaller areas.
As far as kits go unless you find one that has everything you want don't bother. You might be able to get everything you want for close to the same price if you do the research. Kits usually end up giving you something you will never use.

I agree with InDetail. Search for the products you want and will use. Kits are not worth it sometimes.

I ended up purchasing this kit today:
Flex XC3401 Hydro-Tech Essentials from AG

I did the calculations compared to the Canadian retailers and this kit came out on top. The 15% off actually sealed the deal.

Hopefully I made the right choice :)

A big thanks to everyone that helped! :xyxthumbs:

I've only gotten real serious about keeping my vehicles in tip top condition within the past year. I had an old Wen 10" Orbital and a Dewalt 849x. The Wen was basically useless to me and I was afraid to use the Dewalt. I only had the wool pads and didn't know that I could get foam pads. I did use it for some high gloss buffing on some of my woodworking.

Anyway, I sold both the Wen and Dewalt on Craigslist a couple of months after I got my PC 7424. The PC opened up machine polishing for me. Fortunately for me, although my wife doesn't agree, I ran across a Flex 3401 while selling my stuff on CL.

I got the Flex (bag and all) with new brushes for $150. I've only used it a couple of times but really like it. I keep a 3" backing pad on my PC with 4" pads and use it for polishing in tight places and spot repairs. I use both 5.5" and 6.5" pads on the Flex. I don't know about the other machines but the PC and the Flex work well for me.
