Looking for a New Ride

I have decided to retire my Mustang from daily driver status. Using it as a pick up truck has sucked. I picked up a 2007 Toyota Highlander with 33k miles for $13k. Not bad IMO. I need it for my once a month trips from Ft Stewart to Naples, to haul my Army gear and my detail supplies. Works perfect for me.

wranglers have zero storage.... isnt this the reason for your purchase? what about a bmw X5, jeep grand cherokee, nissan suv's are pretty nice. or the infiniti fx crossover

I solved that issue...I'm going to purchase an enclosed trailer.

I can't afford any of the vehicles you just mentioned. At least not new. If I'm going to spend $25k on a new ride I'd like it to be new.

nissan pathfinder or nissan xterra?

I don't like Nissans....I owned an Altima before my Avalanche and had nothing but problems with it. I swore I'd never get another one.

i had a maxima and a 350z never had a single problem. my friend has an xterra that he loves

I know a lot of people that have never had a problem with them. However, after my experience with Nissan (my car and the people that work for Nissan) I will never do business with them again. Very long story, let's just say that after a month and half and $2,500 I finally got my car back fixed...which only lasted a few months before it broke again.

sorry to hear that, id rate my nissans close to the top of my list for cars ive owned. if you can go with a car a couple years old with low miles you could look into the cad. srx? a guy down the street from me has one and loves it

Here is a brand new 4 door wrangler w/ base package and no extras (minus reducing wheel ratio and add tow package for trailer) for 26k

Now you could go with the Patriot w/ 4wd and better gas mileage here. 19k

I also saw incentives in your area for 1k:

2011 Northeast Customer Cash Allowance 32CB5 -$1,000

So if Jeep has your fancy I'd lean toward the Patriot ( I am actually looking into a 2008 Patriot in my area with 30k miles for 15k)

Good luck!:props:

James that is a super deal and for that amount it makes a lot of sense.

Well this is probably a long shot but what about a jetta wagon tdi? Still have a lot room in the back for all your detailing supplies, and for any home renovation projects. And you get 60 mpg, cant beat that!
:iagree:

Roohttp://www.vw.com/en/models/jettasportwagen/features.htmlm, 60 mpg and a good car...

It needs a LOT of love though. It will probably take me all Thursday and Friday to clean it up. Oh well. I will do my best with it. Not trying to have it be a show car anyway. FT Stewart is nothing but sand and gravel. Just happy to not have to drive my Cobra back and forth all the time now.

update seajay?

No not really. I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to actually get out and test drive anything.

So I really have no idea what I'm going to do. I was leaning towards the Jeep Wrangler but it doesn't get much better gas mileage than my truck. I think it still comes down to I have no idea what I want and I just need to get out and test drive some vehicles and see what I like.

Seejay how about a Family Truckster like the Griswalds had?:dblthumb2::dblthumb2::dblthumb2:

Chevy Colorado with the 5.3L

big motor in little truck will give you great gas milage

So now I'm maybe going to consider the HHR panel model. I can use it as my mobile rig and put my info on the side of it.

Plus it gets good gas mileage and has ample storage....I don't think it's the nicest looking ride but definitely fits my needs....
