back to the sealant talk. my buddy was up from allentown last night and he just bought a nissan GT-R. long story short he had the front end done with protective film and also 4 coats of cquartz for the whole car. he is a car nut. loves to detail but didn't trust himself doing this new car. so he had someone do it for him. he is beyond impressed. said the other say he had to wash it for the first time and said he hit it with water and it was clean. everything ran right off the car. it's not his daily driver. it only comes out on perfect weather days. he was told maybe in 2 years it will need to be done again. but overall he is really impressed. it has be back to thinking about the coating route.
his new ride is sick though. i can't wait to go for a drive with him. just a beautiful car.

The "hit it with the water and it was clean" part really intrigues me. I just got my 1st bottle of MK37 coating & I'm waiting for some spare time to apply it.
obviously the car wasn't crushed with dirt cause it only comes out when it's perfect out. i'm assuming dust and buildup on the back end from driving it like any other car gets on dry roads. along with the lower panels. he said literally just fell off.
4 coats i know.
It's stories like that that I keep hearing about coatings. How much easier it is to keep cars clean. Definitely looking fwd to doing a few & seeing for myself.
