Hi Guys, I'm just getting into the finer details of car washing. Recently I clayed and polished my '14 Camaro, then applied a layer of TW Seal & Shine. I was very happy with the results.

Next up is my Wifes '16 Jeep Renegade. I want to try some different products and plan on using HD Speed and Poxy.

My questions are, Should I apply TW Seal & Shine as a sealant before the HD Poxy? Generally, after a maintenance wash, I'll use a QD like Eagle one Wipe and Shine. Is that ok to use over a wax? Just a note, both cars are daily drivers.

In general, a good strategy is to put the most durable coating closest to the paint. Whether that's TWS&S or HD Poxy I couldn't say, there are great stories on AGO about both.

Since HD Speed has a bit 'o Poxy in it, I'd drop the Poxy on top of the HD SPeed and go from there. As for topping that, I'm guessing you won't ruin anything but I'd expect you'll experience diminished returns on the TWS&S as it's a pretty safe bet it won't bond as well to the Poxy as it would to bare paint. Who knows though, nothing ventured, nothing gained but there is likely a point where the simple theory of "More is better..." no longer applies.

The few times I used Poxy a few years ago I found it to be somewhat limited as far as durability goes.

•As far as I can tell; and, therefore,
use accordingly:
-TW Seal and Shine is a Hybrid Sealant
-3D HD Speed is an AIO/Cleaner Sealant
-3D HD Poxy is a Hybrid Sealant
-Eagle one Wipe and Shine is a Hybrid QD.

Using that line of thinking to specifically
address your questions:

Should I apply TW Seal & Shine as a sealant
before the HD Poxy?
•IMO: No.

-Even though they’re both Hybrid Sealants...
I’d apply the HD Poxy directly over the HD AIO.
(Then, if you feel like you must include the
TW product: apply/layer it over the HD Poxy.)

Generally, after a maintenance wash, I'll use a
QD like Eagle one Wipe and Shine. Is that ok to
use over a wax?
[Note: Still using the Hybrid line of thinking...]

•IMO:
-(Since I don’t see any purely natural Waxes in
the products listed) ...it is well-suited to apply
a Hybrid QD on top of Hybrid Sealants.
