Looking for new pads for the Griots G9 in 5.5”

Which pad is less prone to stalling on a low power DA - Rupes yellow, LC flat or LC thin pro?

Try 3 of each. You will find that both of those are very popular in opinions.

I will be trying the Rupes next…

Depends on your polisher. The ThinPro's will be the least likely, but all three should work fine on just about any polisher. If I had to rank them from least likely to most, I'd start with ThinPro, then Flat, and then Rupes. I never used a Rupes pad on my old HF polisher, but I never stalled out when using either of the LC pads.

I've been liking the Rupes pads lately particularly the wool for cutting. I usually have a hard time correcting painted plastic because the substrate heats up so fast. The wool pads are a night and day difference.

I've always liked their foams, which are similar to the Buff and Shine Uro-Tec and LC HDO/SDO lines.

The original LC flats are always a great option too. They are work horses.
