No I didn’t prime it, should I?

We’re the pin pokes from something I did or just a type of defect?

Most often a type of defect.

And yes, absolutely you need to prime a microfiber pad every single time. Coat every fiber with compound then spin or blow out the excess. Add 2-3 small (pea) dots and you’re ready to go.

Using it without priming may have left some additional haze/marring like you saw.

Ok great thanks for your help. Ill give it another go and see whaat happens.

Ok next question, I’ve been throwing the idea of doing touch up on a bunch of rock chips... do I need to wait the 30 days or so before I can coat?

Check on the specific touch up to see what the cure time is. 30 days may or may not be excessive.

Looks awesome! Now you just need more pads ;)

That mirrors my experience thus far with the Jescar line. The stuff doesn’t get a ton of love on here or anywhere really but man the stuff just freakin works.

If it were me, I’d do a small test spot with a softer pad and jescar polish, or something like menzerna 3800 and see if it makes it any better. But honestly that’s one hell of a result after just compounding.

I did use the polish on the hood, although it only made a small improvement in gloss. Something most people would never ever notice. I could barely tell. These products are pretty sweet once you figure them out
