Looking for super slick, durable, wax.

DG 105 and DG 111 on top, and juuuuust for the xtra-shine: some Pinnacle Liquid Souveran AND your car will be so glossy that no one will notice the chips on your hood......bling-bling

(sadly i got the same problem, and just hate those flying stones)

Scott, I was lucky enough to be a beta tester of the new, improved OCW.

Based on my experience, the new formula is significantly slicker, looks wetter, its beading has far more attractive contact angles and about just as easy to apply as the old OCW. As I got the beta not too long ago, I can not say anything meaningful about its durability, but it is sitting happily over OOS since the 23th of July. Beading is still excellent, but as the paint is a 16 year old, rather permeable one, the slickness already diminished somewhat (but still very good).

Compatibility seems okay with most products I tried with and of course, David will improve its durability too. We'll see - but my initial impressions are extremely favorable.

Unfortunately, I don't know when the OCW II will hit the market.

For a slick surface I use 4* UPP over Klasse A.I.O.. Top with Natty's Blue for durability.

Fred

sounds like a new product for the masses .... still in a spray bottle with easy buffing ??

for durabilty i would say either megs 16 or duragloss. These products arenot the esiest to work with but they last a long time. i have heard of duragloss lasting longer then some sealents. If ths is true I dont know but thats the word on th street

Any suggestions?? I am looking for a low to mid price extremely "slick" or "slippery wax" to apply by hand. Where I live stone chips are an unavoidable reality no matter whether you are on the Interstate, State roads, etc. I am trying to find a wax or glaze final step or top coat that is so incredibly "slick" to the touch that if you set something on the hood it will pretty much roll off. Is there such a thing??? I am hoping to reduce the numbers or severity of chips. May not work, but want to try it.

just my $.02 i use meg's #7 follow with pinnacle wax and finish with finishkare 425 quick detailer. great results.will give deep wet look and slick feel. :awesome:

Yep...

DG 105 * Wax + AW?

105 + Liquid Souveran + AW (after weekly washes) is as slippery as a snail trail. But more pleasant to deal with...:p

Just checking. Should AW be the final top coat over the paint cleaner/sealant + Pure Wax?

I've tried it both ways just for grins and found AW over carnuba wax works better than vice versa...
