Looking for that deep dark looking wax

I have currently been using Meguiars Ultimate wax on my black Lexus. Great product but board of the look now. Ive always loved the look after claying with the megs quick detailer. So much that I didnt even want to wax it. It gives such a deep, darking, wet look. Some people say thats the look of a carnauba and not a sealant? Im tired of that hard candy shell mirror like finish of a sealant. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions that would help me achieve this look.

The look also reminds me a little of autoglym HD wax. But that was to difficult to apply so I gave up on it.
 
Man you will get lots of opinions on this. Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax is great for dark cars. Any of the Collinites are good, however, can be finicky on removing (if put on too thick).

SON1C Phoenix is good too (just used it about 3 weeks ago). P21 100% Carnauba, Sonax Paste wax, Vics Red and Polish Angel Centurion.

There are a plethora of choices. Good luck on choosing, however, I am sure you will pick the right one for you!

I have about 25 - 30 waxes (paste and some liquid) and it is never ending for me...the ones I have mentioned are good and high on my list. You can get all except Vics Red from AGO and their sister sites.

•I will suggest that if claying and Meguiar's UQD
gives you the look that you love...
-Then: Go with that regimen! :dblthumb2:

•And...IMO...Here's at least one (good) reason why:
-Ever since UQD came to market, Meguiar's has been
saying that repeated usage of their UQD insures a
Hydrophobic Polymer Coating will be on the vehicles'
surfaces to which it's applied.

"Damn the Waxes, and most other such LSP;
full speed ahead with: Clay & UQD"!!

Some very good suggestions above. A couple more would be BFMS (which looks excellent over BF sealant) and liquid Pinnacle Souveran. Currently 3 coats of liquid Souveran on the car and looks incredible.
 
Agreed what Bob said ^^

I choose to use those spray wax that are easy to apply and doesn't stain trim. You like the current look then meg D156 is what you need...
Makes life easier :D
 
I'm going to suggest what you're looking for isn't going to be found in a wax, it's going to be found correcting the paint with an ultra fine Polish. Whatever you put on that will look wet.

:iagree:It's all in the polishing.
